to 1.9.

Here is our online test page:
http://getfirebug.com/tests/content/branches/1.9/console/api/log.html

Do you see a log if you click the button on the page?

If not, try to disable other extensions you have installed (if any) or create new fresh Firefox profile.

The problem might be the removal of console.firebug, see issue 5113.

yslow needs firebug for run properly and i found out that if you
upgrade your firefox to last version (9.1) firebug will be upgrade to
(1.9) and so yslow will not work anymore

i suggest this versions :
firefox : 7.0.1 (and disable automatic update)
firebug : 1.8.2
yslow : 3.0.4

and these are really compatible with each other :)

I am not seeing console.log output in a few scenarios, and wonder if you could test my additions to your test page:

http://jsbin.com/otayuz/3

This adds a few calls to console.log: two in the inline script, one in a jquery DOM ready handler, and one using setTimeout.

With Firefox 9.0.1 and Firebug 1.9.1 I am only seeing console.log output from your original click handler and from the call inside setTimeout. (All my other FF extensions are disabled.)

I am seeing:

page loading
script finishing
jquery ready
setTimeout
Click handler

Did you have the Console panel enabled when you loaded the page?

Yes, I do have the console panel enabled on page load. I'm still only getting:

setTimeout
Click handler

When I test in Windows Vista using Firefox 9.0.1 and Firebug 1.9.1, all 5 lines you mentioned print as expected. But the problem remains on my linux machine, running Ubuntu 10.04.

Wow, never heard, that Vista is doing something right. ;-)

But the problem remains on my linux machine, running Ubuntu 10.04.
Did you also try it on a new Firefox profile? Generally the easiest way to get an issue like this fixed is following the steps on our wiki pag for bug reports.

Does somebody else experience that using Ubuntu? (Because I don't have it.)

Unfortunately it is still an issue with the new Firefox profile...

It looks like there is another similar thread regarding Ubuntu:

Thanks,
