That's funny. I thought I installed the latest version, but what appeared in Firebug's About box showed 1.7.3. Reinstalling didn't change the version. I had to remove firebug, reinstall, and now it shows 1.10.6.

That fixed the console issue as well. Thanks.

Sounds like a bug at addons.mozilla.org. I couldn't reproduce that by myself, though. (But I also don't have Mac OS.)

Then please update your Firefox to version 18.0.1 and try it again. If the problem persists, you may want to download Firebug from getfirebug.com.
