We're looking to incorporate a Disqus threads in a facebook app that will need facebook permission on its self. Without prototyping yet, it seems that in order to comment with an embedded disqus in the facebook iframe, the user will need to approve also his details with Disqus. This seems to create a double facebook login permission request for the user.

1. Has anyone tried this before and does anyone knows that my imaginary scenario is indeed real?
2. Can anyone have a better way to embed a Disqus board, that will enjoy the Analytics, Spam Filters and Ranking with-in a facebook app?

Cheers!

yes i tried it - it works as you said even though you are logged in facebook the dsq widget would not know about it unless you login via the dsq widget and give permission to the dsq app for the first time. the dsq widget in the canvas iframe has no access to the login cookie data e.g. and the fb post request data when calling your app is useless because the dsq widget as for < 2012 does not have a mechanism to log somebody in via the api unless you use the the dsq enterprise version maybe.

Thanks man. I appreciate your promoted response.
