If you want the best then it's Softcenter's kit. They do regular updates, support more devices & support sandisk & monoliths.

I have both pc3000 flash ssd & softcenters kit.
Pc3000 has a global solutions database website but it will only be as good as long ad users upload configs to it.

Softcenter updates it nand reader software loads ie 3 times in the last week. The flash extractor software uses the chip id to see if it ls in the database if not then either upload the dumps & they will work out the settings or give them team viewer access for remote support.

HI Loki, is really the softcenter tool has a deep learning curve?
What is the average recovery time for a flash usb disk for example with it?

Hi,

To be honest I've only had it a just under 2 weeks.
Ive been testing it & my first chip was from a 4Gb Kingston USB pen which PC3000 Flash didnt support when I last tried it. I desoldered the chip & hooked it up to the reader running Win8 on a laptop & had access to the data within minutes as the config was in the database. If all the jobs could be this simple Smile If its not in the database then Softcenters turn around seems to be a 1 to 2 days depending on how busy they are.

It does seem to me that if it's not in the database then users tend to go straight to Softcenters forum & get them to look at it. I suppose this way they can still be working on something else.
If you do it this way then no it's not a steep learning curve (as you are using the basic functions) + Softcenter will then add the newly found configs to the updates which of cause makes the database better & better.
The online manual is very basic & thats it no other manuals come with the kit. This in turn makes it hard to learn.
I would have liked to see an online learning section explaining how & what to do manually to get a better understanding of how the kit works.
You do get some monolith pinouts from the website library which is good, to view them you input your Flash Extractors key in.

Hope this helps
