Good Morning All,

Just wondering what the process is for data recovery on digital memory cards ie. for cameras.
And if anyone can point me to some reading resources / free software to have a look at ?
I have a job to look at later this morning.

Regards
Caleb

Google for free software
PC3000 Flash for hardware
Soft-Center.ru for hardware

Or use your local Data recocery company - digital memory cards are not too expensive to get recovered.

Cheers

A couple of good, free programs for recovering photos (and other types of files):

Photorec:
http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/PhotoRec

PC Inspector Smart Recovery:
http://www.pcinspector.de/smartrecovery/info.htm?language=1

Assuming the cards are still functional, that is.

Hi Conray,
Foremost very simple tool and you can filter any type you want to recover.
You can download DEFT Linux LiveOS and run under virtual box or vmware.

If logical recovery then r-studio is another option that hasn't been mentioned.
If hardware recovery then i would recommend softcenter over the pc3000 flash, if your looking at getting one.
