Can anyone recommend such utilities? It has to be a floppy, not CD.
Even USB Booting of any kind is not supported by the BIOS.
Something like a floppy version of Barts CD, 911CD and there are some
Linux based utility disks with such facilities. Any ideas (tomsrtbt)?
I asked in the microsoft newsgroups and haven't got any satisfaction
yet. I know you Linux guys can do it. I know there are few disks out
there like knoppix etc, but I can't remember their exact names and I
need them to be on a floppy.
Come on, let's out Microsoft the microsoft guys.

A floppy based solution is a tough goal- because you'd expect it to work
with your random hardware. I think a better strategy is getting the CD to
be recognized and be bootable. That way, you will be able to use a
distibution with enough support built in. This posts describes a loader
which boots from a floppy disk, and then allows you to continue booting
from a CD, even when the BIOS lacks support:

When you are ready to try it with a CD, I think Slax has ntfsprogs, IIRC.

I don't have access to Linux now, but if I unarchive it will I be able
to use rawrite to create the image? Thanks for the tip.
rawrite instructions are found a lot of places, including here (for
