We returned to Montana last night from Rochester, NY as proud owners of Cabo Rico 34 hull #6. We were able to complete the purchase and get her on the truck during the week that we were there. She's now somewhere in Indiana coming this way. She's a little neglected and needs some cleaning and waxing but we believe her to be in very good shape. She has been on the great lakes all but two of her 23 years and has only 650 engine hours. We have been sailing for about 10 years, most of it on our San Juan 28. The CR34 will definitely be a challenge for us at first but we look forward to getting to know her and taking good care of her. The boat's name is "Jibbay Na Noodin" which I understand is Ojibwe indian for "Wind Spirit". There could definitely be a renaming ceremony in her future. Thanks to all of you who helped us out over the last few weeks by answering mundane questions about jack stands and things like that. I'm planning on reading the owners manual before I hit you with any more questions. Thanks again.

Clay - That is a "European swim and anchor platform" and was a factory option. It also has a heavier than heck swim ladder that attaches to the swim platform after it's folded down. The setup will certainly have its plusses and minuses but I think it will be real nice for boarding from a dinghy or kayak. I'll post some pictures at some point if anyone is interested. Does anyone know of another Cabo with the factory swim platform?

I've seen this on a CR 45. I guess it was an option, if you were willing to pay for it. That cannot be a cheap gadget.Thierry DanzCR 41 # 12 CURLEW
