Hi everyone,

I have some trouble with compiling the current trunk version.
Executing the bootstrap.sh scripts leads to following errors:

./bootstrap.sh
configure.in: no proper invocation of AM_INIT_AUTOMAKE was found.
configure.in: You should verify that configure.in invokes
AM_INIT_AUTOMAKE,
configure.in: that aclocal.m4 is present in the top-level directory,
configure.in: and that aclocal.m4 was recently regenerated (using
aclocal).
automake: no `Makefile.am' found for any configure output
automake: Did you forget AC_CONFIG_FILES([Makefile]) in configure.in?

* osx 10.6.6
* autoconf 2.61
* automake 1.10
* xcode 3.2.6 ios sdk 4.3

Do you have any idea?

Thanks in advice,

david

Hi David

that's weird. On on of my systems I have the very same configuration as you (Xcode 3.26 on 10.6.8, autoconf 2.61, automake 1.10).

A fresh checkout gives me:

$ ./bootstrap.sh
configure.in:27: installing `config/config.sub'
configure.in:7: installing `config/missing'
configure.in:7: installing `config/install-sh'
configure.in:27: installing `config/config.guess'

$ ./bootstrap.sh
$

I've got no good idea here. Could you try on another system?

Best
Matthias

Hi Matthias

thank you for your reply.

I've tried it on another system and it worked fine. I noticed that the
different was that I had copied the trunk folder from my usb stick to
the desktop. So I moved the folder on the old system to the desktop
too and it also worked fine.

Best,
David
