So Dave Asprey from www.bulletproofexec.com claims that he did EEG training for 7 days straight at a facility in Canada, which costed him 20 grand and essentially provides the benefits of 40 years worth of meditation and 12 IQ point raise. He has a product on his website, which is essentially a do it yourself at home kit for EEG training from www.Zengar.com . Can this be as good as going to a facility where you get guided instruction from professionals? I mean why waste $5,500 on this when you can spend $10K at a facility to ensure that it worked and you did it correctly.

You can do one test training for Zengar session and see if You have any results after two to tree weeks and then decide what to do.

For example: one test session at http://www.rigabrain.com/en/2-rigabrain-trenins/ cost is 45€, thats all. And if client has an results then he could decide to have or not to have more sessions. Very common is to fly in for one week and take 10 sessions in 5days, wich cost ~355€.

small world sometimes.

i have recently been 'studying' this bulletproof guy, a couple weeks prior to this post.

his site introduced me to Ghee which i purchased from amazon and also MCT (i dont use his brand, i use NOW foods)......supposedly a healthy fat.

i guess he was some obese guy who now is in great shape and goes all over the place giving speeches and making lots of money.

he seems to take this 'paleo' diet to the EXTREME, which i am still on the fence about.

I do believe that 'grains' and products based on grains are probably unhealthy for many of us in the amounts recommended, process level, etc.

and i am also worried about bpa in canned products.

but he really gets into omega 6 content of grain-based meat sources, which basically is 99% of American sources, and how unhealthy it is (with hormones plus the fact they are grain fed).

supposedly there should be an omega 6 to omega 3 diet ratio of 2 to 1, but the typical american diet is like 20 to 1, and this is contributory to inflammation.......which is linked to diabetes, arterial disease etc

i feel there may be some truth to what he is sharing, but not to the extremes he is suggesting.

His site did introduce me to the kettlebell swing idea, which I have recently been preparing for, but being trained by a functional movement specialist who is trained in the russian kettlebell technique has been proven to be slow/laborious, albeit advised at my age.

just thought i would share this coincidence since i recently was studying his site, products, 'ideas', etc.

and i dont like coincidences either.

the bulletproof guy is the bullshit executive guy
he is kinda famous in the community he is in
but he just wants to suck money out of you
plus i get the impression he doesnt really understand the science anyway.
his diet is good but otherwise the guy sucks.

i am still on the fence about a true paleo diet, but it is his site that kindofa got me onto the concept, ntm the kettlebell swing, which seems to be a most interesting exercise (russian technique, anyway) as it seems to recruit quite a few muscle groups that may transfer to thwarting daily activity fatigue

i also admit that i didnt know about this omega6 to omega3 thingee and the potential inflammatory response in some individuals if the 6 ratio is too high....i was probably eating too many eggs, walnuts, almonds, and natural peanut butter (kind without anything added).

Jokyboy, thank you for your feedback
