I did locate on a cached page from the Azores Regional Government website an e-mail address for the author, who apparently had a role with a government agency, but the current version of the website no longer carries his name or that government e-mail address, so I have to assume he is no longer in that role and so the e-mail address is no longer effective.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I could obtain a hard copy, or are they all gone and I just need to wait for the e-book version to get published (and in the meantime rely on the kindness of strangers for look-ups)?
So, pending my getting hands on a copy of the Familias book, I do need to ask for someone to do me the kindness of looking up a couple whom I located in the Lajes das Flores section of the Casais das Flores e do Corvo book, and letting me know in particular the names and birth dates of any children they had:
José Francisco Coelho [n. Lomba, Lajes das Flores, f.º de Manuel Furtado Coelho e de Isabel Furtado] c. 1844.09.01 c. Ana da Trindade [f.ª de Manuel Furtado Lourenço e de Maria da Trindade]. -- from Casais, p. 107.
Thanks in advance for any help...

Nancy Jean,
I have the same couple in my database as my 6th great grandparents, also from Candelaria, but the birthdates are in 1668 and 1666 and I do not have a marriage date. The data is from the NEPS database, but doesn’t sound right because Madalena would have been 60 when the daughter Francisca Inacia was born (1726). The links to the data for Alexandre are http://www.ghp.ics.uminho.pt/geneweb/gwd.exe?b=FETEIRA;lang=en;p=alexandrre;n=ferreira, and http://www.ghp.ics.uminho.pt/geneweb/gwd.exe?b=cmadalena&lang=en&m=NG&n=Alexandre++Ferreira&t=PN
I am not sure how to interpret this information at this point. Do you have data from a different source?
Diane George
I also descend from Francisca. I have attached a chart showing the direct line from Francisca to me. Let me know if you find anything. I will also try to find the baptism records in CCA since the NEPS database shows birthdates and places in the records from Feteira. I am in the middle of a big website project right now so I may not get anything done in the next few days, but should be a little less busy next week.
