Searching for Jorge and Freitas * Parent & Sibling Names

I am looking for information on my Azores relatives.  I was fortunate to know my great grandparents, but unfortunately, no one wrote any information down about their family in the Azores, island of Flores.
 
I would appreciate any assistance in finding out their parents and sibling names. 
 
Francisco J Jorge
Born:  07 Dec 1872 Fajan Grande, Flores, Azores, Portugal
Died:  12 Dec 1863 Merced, Merced, California, USA
Note:  Worked as farm laborer, worked on making the roads to Yosemite, and was entrusted to bringing any gold found onsite back down from the foothills.  Immigrated to California in 1889, worked these various odd jobs to purchase two farms in Merced, CA.  He was an alfalfa and sweet potatoe farmer.
 
Leopoldina Lucindo Freitas
Born:  16 May 1884 Fajan Grande, Flores, Azores, Portugal
Died:  19 Mar 1973 Merced, Merced, California, USA
Note:  Leopoldina's father was Jose Lucindo de Freitas according to the NY Passenger listing.  I know that her mother died young, as she delayed her immigration to the US to marry Francisco, taking on her mother's responsibilities.

My family name is Jorge (George now) and have some ancestors from Flores, but they left Flores for Faial around 1720s as near I can tell.  But, perhaps we are distantly related further back along the line (a good chance I would guess considering how small Flores is). 

I have an Anotnio Jorge born in 1674 in Freguesia da Lomba, Flores.  I tried to do a quick check to see if I could trace the line to your great grandfather but was unable to.  Others in this group might be able to help you out further though.  

My grandmother was also a Freitas.  My grandparents live in San Jose, I would be interested to

Mr. Jorge, Benjamin I descend from JORGE, Manoel Gonçalves married to Joana Fernandes de SOUZA my 9th ggparents. I know Joana died 27 Jul 1652 in Topo, Ilha de Sao Jorge. Unfortunately I don't have a Manoel Gonçalves in my line that I am aware of.  Sorry!  I have just started doing my family history and so I haven't really branched off of the main line yet.  If I come across a Manoel Gonçalves or de Souza I will let you know.  Hopefully someone else on the list can be of some help.
