According to Sidney Lambe;
"Wicca is a fictional fantasy religion."

Ren's comment;
Yes, and we are quite proud of it. Wicca does not pretend to be a
reenactment of Pre-Christian Pagan religion. Wicca may contain
denominations which attempt to reenact and recreate Pagan Shamanism,
Celtic Spirituality, English Folk Practices, and a ton of other
European religious and magickal beliefs that are not Christian. Wicca
even contains a Christian denomination called "Christian Wicca". But
this does not mean the the entire religion of Wicca is Christian. Nor
does it mean that the entire religion of Wicca is a fictional fantasy.
But we are quite proud of our world religious elements and even the
fictional and dramatic aspects of our religion. Wiccans are like cats.
You can't keep us in a group. We welcome our diversity. So yes, Wicca
is a fictional fantasy religion. And it is every bit as real as any
other religion. Every religion has bits of fictional fantasy.
Everybody makes things up as they go along. It is called creative
improvisation. Intelligent people can do that. Stupid people follow
religious books to the letter.

According to Sidney Lambe;
"Wicca contains a bunch of dramatic actors who love to role-play and
costume-play!"

Ren's answer;
Yes, and we are quite proud of it. Intelligent people realize that a
costume can change your consciousness which can also create change
within your world. Dramatic people are interesting people, warm
people, people with potential. It is o.k. to dress the part. Wear a
robe. Put on that hood. Wave that Harry Potter electric wand. It is
o.k. because it ads an element of fun to the serious work of our
religion. That work is to bridge the spiritual world with the world of
the living. Only actresses and actors who can recite mantras and
perform ritualistic acts can be members of Wicca. If members can not
do this, then by the Gods they will learn. Emotion empowers rites! Now
you do not need expensive robes. You do not need a fancy wand. All you
need is a willing heart and a bit of the theatrical within you. You
can come in street clothes. You can use your real name. Nobody will
turn you away. But expect your life to become excitingly more dramatic
after you begin to circle and gather with us.

According to Sidney Lambe;
"Wiccans just make up whatever they feel like believing about the
nature of reality."

Ren says;
Right on, man. A Wiccans personal beliefs are the most important ones.
Who are we to impose our beliefs upon others if those beliefs are not
violent ones. Nobody, I mean nobody, possesses the truth. Truth itself
is subjective. One person's truth is according to one person's view.
That view is always different. Because that view is different, the
very nature of truth itself is different. We will have no person tell
us that there is ONE TRUE WAY. We know that this is not so. Everybody
sees differently so everybody's truth is different.

What Sid does not get is that every (EVERY) religion has UPG
(Unverified Personal Gnosis, I know they are big words for you Sid,
but use a dictionary and you may be ok). It’ part of the territory of
religion, you have to have faith.

So he wonders why we laugh at him when he says “prove they are not
fictional” (the Deities). Hah prove they are fictional too twit!

Says a guy who threatens to scramble people's brains and turn
them into his puppet if they make harassing phone calls to him:

That's just to show you what a hypocrite, liar, and demented fool
you are dealing with here.

An idiotic, self-contradictory, utterly illogical statement.

He's saying that he knows for sure that no one knows anything for
sure.

The philosophy of a deluded loser. We do not make the nature of
reality. We have no control over it whatsoever.

We do make our own reality, but only within limits. Your physical
body is going to die and return to the Earth no matter what you
believe. You can believe that you have four arms all you want, but
you will still only have two. You can believe that the moon is
made of green cheese with all your heart, and it will still be
made of rock. You can believe that no one knows the Truth and
that won't change the fact that some people do.

There is obviously order in the universe, and that order is the
visible expression of creative laws that exist and rule reality
and are not affected in any way by human opinion.

Wise people seek to perceive these laws. Fools pretend they don't
exist.

Anyone who believes the nonsense that ren espouses above is in
danger of becoming a real sociopath. Such a person can rationalize
anything. After all, there is no truth and we get to make it up.
What is to prevent a person from deciding that death is an illusion
and that therefore it's okay to kill people? Or that God is telling
them to kill people. Like the guy who killed John Lennon. Nothing.

Pretending that there is no Truth is pretending that there is no
morality. How can there be morality when there is no Truth?

We have been given the magickal powers to create our own personal
and mass realities, within certain limitations. That's a Truth.
We have no control over the basic nature of reality. That is
another Truth.

Imposing beliefs is an original action it is not a reaction. There is
no rule that says that Wiccans can not react violently to protect
themselves.

You really seem angry with me. But nobody on this newsgroup but you
knows why. Why don't you share it with us.

How so? You do not win in the logic department. That is why you are
not welcome on Linux forums and blogs.

>He's saying that he knows for sure that no one knows anything for

That is a pradox and the statement stands on its own. But I did not
say that no one knows anything. I said that no one knows universal
truth.

>The philosophy of a deluded loser. We do not make the nature of

Yes we do. Each one of us determines our own state of reality. Some
people such as yourself live in Fantasy Land.

>We do make our own reality, but only within limits. Your physical
>body is going to die and return to the Earth no matter what you

You just contradicted yourself.

>believe. You can believe that you have four arms all you want, but

You don't know the truth about yourself, Sidney. You don't even know
who you are or why you are here.

>There is obviously order in the universe, and that order is the
>visible expression of creative laws that exist and rule reality

Human opinion and perception shapes their personal realities.

>Wise people seek to perceive these laws. Fools pretend they don't
>exist.

Wise people seek to control their environment. They do not pretend
that any theory, hypothosis or physical law is the absolute truth that
explains all things.

>Anyone who believes the nonsense that ren espouses above is in
>danger of becoming a real sociopath. Such a person can rationalize

Do you even know what a sociopath is?

>What is to prevent a person from deciding that death is an illusion
>and that therefore it's okay to kill people? Or that God is telling
>them to kill people. Like the guy who killed John Lennon. Nothing.

What or who is to prevent you from posting to this newsgroup? No one.

>Pretending that there is no Truth is pretending that there is no
>morality. How can there be morality when there is no Truth?

Easy. Morality is not dependant on the truth. Morality is dependant on
your responsibility toward others.

>We have been given the magickal powers to create our own personal
>and mass realities, within certain limitations. That's a Truth.
>We have no control over the basic nature of reality. That is

Limitations in your world of truth, not in mine. You contradict
yourself again when you say that there is "another Truth". There is
either absolute truth in the universe or there is not.

This is typical ren bullshit. Malicious lies.

Why don't you tell everyone which linux forums and blogs I
have been kicked out of.

If that's the case they will be able to find my earlier posts
on all of them, won't they?

Thanks for another example of your lack of morality.
You are such a disgusting human being.

Like I said, if you believe ren's philosophy you will
end up being like him.

The rest of his post is so pathetic that isn't even worth
responding to.

Thanks for the email, Sid.

I read a few of your posts tonight, because of your email.
But I won't spend time reading you, if you post this stuff.

Go ahead and post all you like. But don't expect me to wade through this
stuff to get to your gems.

Your posts (and ren's responses) have made me lose interest in arw like
nothing has ever before.

For that, I thank you.
