The National Enquirer of America reported that between July and
October of 1987, blood has flowed several times from the heart of a
statue of Christ in the Italian city of Parma. Among the witnesses was
a police officer and a journalist, the paper stated. Professor
Vittorio Rizolli, a haematologist who examined the blood, is said to
have confirmed that it was fresh human blood though very unusual as it
contained no platelets. To the police officer, Giuseppe Melchiorre,
the event was a turning point in his life. The National Enquirer
quoted him as saying that he saw with his own eyes how blood streamed
from the wooden heart of the statue. "I felt a shiver run up my spine
and broke into a cold sweat. I staggered out of the abbey and, for the
first time in my life, I prayed. I am now a firm believer and attend
Mass." ( Source : National Enquirer, 1988 )

Do'nt you think that the news media wouldn't jump on this story were

I know it's a little disconcerting but Bill is referring to the
characteristics of newborns of his species.
Can you read? As I previously said, If verifiable facts prove that
Edwards had the above, I'll believe it. The NE has been harping on
this since October of last year and so far there are zero facts
supporting their allegation. At this point their accusation holds no
water. As for you, if you believe the accusation, let us all know why.
WB Yeats
Don't you know what the National Enquirer is? Maybe you are so rich
that you don't have to go to the grocery store to do your own
shopping. But if you did, you must have seen one before while
standing in the check out line. It is always full of stories about
bigfoot sightings and stuff like that. Don't you remember the one
about the "Bat Boy" that supposedly grew up in a cave somewhere? It
came complete with "EXCLUSIVE PHOTOS!!" that were really funny
pictures of a kid that had been photoshopped to have huge eyes and
pointy ears and fangs. It was hilarious. I'm not saying the Edwards
story isn't true. I don't care either way. Politician's personal
lives to concern me in the least so I wouldn't go to the trouble of
trying to create a "distraction" to burst your little bubble. I was
simply pointing out the fact that Limbaugh followers constantly bash
newspapers as not being legitimate sources of information but when one
that doesn't even make an effort to appear legitimate comes out with a
story that makes a Democrat look bad, they hold it up as if it were a
bastion of truth. Go ahead and enjoy yourself. I'm happy for you.
It won't be long before another Republican gets caught in a homosexual
tryst and the Democrats will do the same thing. People would rather
do anything than discuss matters that are actually important.

"Guard Confirms Late-Night Hotel Encounter Between Ex-Sen. John
Edwards, Tabloid Reporters
FoxNews
Friday, July 25, 2008
A hotel security guard told FOXNews.com he intervened this week
between a man he identified as former Sen. John Edwards and tabloid
reporters who chased down the former presidential hopeful after what
they're calling a rendezvous with his mistress and love child.
The Beverly Hilton Hotel guard said he encountered a shaken and ashen-
faced Edwards — whom he did not immediately recognize — in a hotel
men's room early Tuesday morning in a literal tug-of-war with
reporters on the other side of the door.
"What are they saying about me?" the guard said Edwards asked.
"His face just went totally white," the guard said, when Edwards was
told the reporters were shouting out questions about Edwards and
Rielle Hunter, a woman the National Enquirer says is the mother of his
child.
The guard said he escorted Edwards, who was not a registered guest at
the hotel, out of the building after 2 a.m. Edwards did not say
anything while he was escorted out, said the guard, adding that at
times the reporters on the scene were "rough on him," sticking a
camera in his face and shouting questions.
The guard did not recognize Edwards at the time of the incident, but
said he concluded it was the 2008 presidential hopeful after hearing
reports about the incident and finding an Enquirer reporter's notebook
at the scene.
The guard said during the chase the reporters had dropped the
notebook, which he picked up. "This book has everything in it on him,"
he said, referring to Edwards. The guard later confirmed Edwards'
identity after being shown a photograph.
A former campaign staffer, speaking on condition of anonymity, told
FOXNews.com he wishes he were "more surprised" to hear reports Edwards
was visiting Hunter. "I'm definitely upset by it. I wish I was more
surprised, though."
Edwards this week has repeatedly refused to comment on the Enquirer
report. Asked about it on Thursday at an event in New Orleans, he
said: "I have no idea what you're asking about. I've responded,
consistently, to these tabloid allegations by saying I don't respond
to these lies and you know that ... and I stand by that."
Edwards spokesmen did not respond to repeated calls by FOXNews.com to
respond to this story.
Enquirer Editor-in-Chief David Perel told FOXNews.com his reporters
caught Edwards visiting Hunter and her baby at the hotel earlier
Monday evening. Perel said Hunter and Edwards have been occasionally
getting together so Edwards can see the baby. Hunter came to Beverly
Hills with a male friend, Bob McGovern, said Perel. Hunter and her
companion reportedly booked two rooms under McGovern's name, and
McGovern picked up Edwards to bring him back to the hotel.
Perel said Enquirer staff had been given information about the planned
Edwards-Hunter meeting, and the tabloid sent reporters to the hotel in
anticipation of Edwards' arrival. According to the Enquirer, Edwards
was first spotted being dropped off at the hotel at 9:45 p.m. PT,
about 25 minutes after reporters watched McGovern leave the building
in his BMW.
Edwards went to Hunter's room and the two left the hotel together and
returned 45 minutes later, Perel said. Edwards reportedly entered her
room and stayed there until after 2:30 a.m. PT.
FOXNews.com could not independently confirm the Enquirer's
allegations. Perel also declined to identify where the Enquirer
received the information about Edwards' alleged visits.
Perel told FOXNews.com that after leaving Hunter's room, Edwards took
an elevator to the basement, where he was confronted by two Enquirer
reporters. He ran into the bathroom, where he remained until the
security guard arrived.
The Enquirer says it has videotape showing Hunter entering the room
where she met Edwards, and shows Edwards leaving the same room.
However, the Enquirer has thus far declined repeated requests by
FOXNews.com to release any photographs or videotape evidence of the
incident.
Lynda Simonetti, director of public relations at the Beverly Hills
Hilton, refused to comment on the guard's version of the incident,
citing the hotel's privacy policy.
"We value the privacy of all the guests," Simonetti told FOXNews.com,
adding, "The non-disclosure policy applies to the requests of the
names, whether it's past, current or anticipated guests... That's our
policy." "
Yeah........We do.......DumbAss.........
"In 2001, the Enquirer uncovered that the Rev. Jesse Jackson had an
illegitimate child. Salacious details of the Bill Clinton-Monica
Lewinsky affair were first made public by the Enquirer. The Enquirer
was regarded by some as having the best media coverage of the O.J.
Simpson murder trial. For example, when a distinctive footprint from a
Bruno Magli shoe was found at the crime scene, Simpson vehemently
denied owning such a shoe. The Enquirer, however, dug up a photograph
of him with just such a pair.
In 2006, the Enquirer was the first newspaper to reveal that O. J.
Simpson had written a book, If I Did It. The story was immediately
denied by Simpson's lawyer, but was confirmed by release of the book
one month later." - Wikipedia

On January 13, 2002, Bush lost consciousness while sitting on a couch

resulting in an abrasion on his left cheekbone and a small bruise on
his lower lip. The incident was blamed on a combination of (a) Bush
not feeling well in previous days, and (b) an improperly eaten
pretzel. Their combined effect was to slow the President's heart. (The
description suggests a vaso-vagal attack.) The period of
unconsciousness was brief
Interestingly, his father George H. W. Bush also suffered a syncopal

While holding a tennis raquet that may have impaired his coordination,

In an unexpected bit of convergence, I happened to be finishing New Yorker
writer William Finnegan's masterpiece of reportage, "Cold New World," as I
was starting on Paul Griffin's "Ten Mile River." One could very well be born
from the other: The real-life teenagers living lives of downward mobility in
"Cold New World" complement the fictional brothers Jose and Ray perfectly.
For young people who grow up impoverished, the American Dream is all hype,
as Finnegan makes clear. The ruling ideology is liberal consumerism. The
reader's fervent desire to see these kids escape their situation against all
odds creates the tension in both books. Neither author is willing to deliver
that fantasy, though, at the expense of the well-articulated reality.
Griffin's slim novel manages to pack in a ton of information without ever,
for a moment, lapsing into pedantics. The narrative centers on two boys -

KOKOMO, Ind. (Sportsman's Daily Wire Service) -- When Barack Obama bowled a
feeble 38 during a campaign stop in Pennsylvania, he was widely mocked, as
it's a score one would expect to see at a bowling party attended by nine
year olds. But the absurdly low score wasn't fatal, as anecdotal (and
unconfirmed) reports of Obama's hoops prowess mitigated the damage --
particularly since bowling is not widely considered a sport (or, depending
on your view, "activity") to which African-Americans are culturally attuned.
So when Obama's campaign bus stopped at a neighborhood playground and he
stepped onto the court for what seemed to be an unrehearsed game of
five-on-five with nine (Caucasian) locals, most expected to see a basic
level of competence. In just three minutes of action, Obama missed an open
lay-up, dribbled the ball off his foot and out-of-bounds, had the ball
stolen twice, launched an ill-advised twelve footer from the right baseline
that was violently rejected and was repeatedly beaten to the basket by a
plodding 5'-8" out-of-work, trash-talking office manager. After the three
minute stretch of shocking incompetence, the on-again off-again chain-smoker
was doubled over, sweat drenching his white shirt and darkening his
elegantly knotted blue tie.
"You have to give the guy his due," said Todd Fischer, the 5'8" out-of-work
office manager. "He didn't have time to change, so he's playing in his
slacks and shoes--which makes it hard to defend and beat your man off the
dribble. But I won't lie, I expected more game. I'm not saying that I won't
vote for him'cause he can't ball...I simply can't vote for a guy that bowled
a 38. Do you think a guy that bowled a 38 will get the respect of someone
like Putin? I don't think so."
Word of Obama's on-court mishaps caught primary voters by surprise, and have
given undecided voters pause, as Hoosiers are passionate about their
basketball.

Hong has been in and out of the Republican side of Minnesota politics
since the mid-1990s, when he surfaced as a genial bulldog campaign
press secretary for former Sen. Rod Grams, R-Minn. He served as a
spokesman for Gov. Tim Pawlenty's campaign in 2002 and for the Bush-
Cheney campaign in Minnesota in 2004.
Most recently, Hong was a point person for presidential candidate Mike
Huckabee. Gina Countryman, a spokeswoman for the Minnesota Republican
Party, said Hong is not currently working for any Minnesota candidate.
He is the third political figure to be arrested in a St. Paul
prostitution sting in the past year.
Last summer, police arrested Tim Droogsma, a press secretary to former
U.S. Independent-Republican Sen. Rudy Boschwitz, who initially
attributed his arrest to a "severe misunderstanding" before pleading

Rush Limbaugh is a Little Slim Smart Man
Posted July 10, 2008 | 11:52 AM (EST)
Yes, yes, we know that Al Franken satirically called his book, Rush Limbaugh
is a Big Fat Idiot. But to be fair, and given how upset all of Mr.
Limbaugh's discerning, insightful listeners are, it is only a kindness to
them and their love of America that one should only speak warmly of their
favoritest talk show host ever.
Especially since yesterday he showed again how totally-blind tunnel vision
makes one miss not only the big picture, but the stick drawings, as well.
And therefore needs all the help he can get.
As the Democratic National Committee and Obama representatives prepare to
hold open meetings across the country in an effort to give a frank airing to
the party goals, noble Rush Limbaugh -- proud and good American -- told his
faithful flock his nifty plan to muck up that exercise in democracy.
"You will be allowed to sit in the same room as elitist Democrat operatives
to craft the Democrat party platform," Limbaugh commented. "In coming days,
we will tell you exactly how you can participate in writing the Democrat
party platform, at the request of the Most Merciful Lord Barack Obama."
Now, first of all, I must admit that's pretty darn nice of Rush Limbaugh to
say such an amazing thing about Barack Obama. While many think highly of the
senator from Illinois, Mr. Limbaugh's characterization of him as "the Most
Merciful Lord"...boy, howdy, that's high praise indeed!! Sure, some on the
Religious Far Right might be a little peeved that it's sacrilegious. But I
suspect that given the Sermon is coming from the Mount himself, then it's
probably okay.
Unfortunately, though, the actual point of his ill-thought-out 'plan' isn't
as effective. You see, on the one hand, Mr. Limbaugh is directing his
minions to go to all these open Democratic meetings, specifically because
the meetings are open and democratic and will allow anyone the right to
speak their mind and own opinion. (Something which presumes they have a mind
and their own opinions.) But then, in the same breath, he makes his fatal
gaff, calling those who've opened up the meetings to everyone, "elitist."
That's the problem. See, the very reason his adherents can even be at the
meetings in the first place is because they are egalitarian -- which by
definition is the exact opposite of "elitist." So, not only does Rush
Limbaugh risk confusing his mass of now-bewildered disciples, but worse he's
getting them to participate in the tsunami wave of openness that is the
heart of the Obama drive. Indeed, it's the very thing that got Barack Obama
elevated to his position of Most Merciful Lord.
And unfortunately for Rush Limbaugh, it's this same, totally-blind tunnel
vision that got him and his followers into the backpedaling muck-up they're
all in right now.
Limbaugh's frolicsome "plan," whimsically-named, "Operation Chaos," was akin
to Elmer Fudd trying to catch that wascally wabbit -- a misguided attempt to
get his loyally-patriotic, lovers of America to screw up the democratic
process, and it backfired bigtime. (Gee, how could trying to get
"loyally-patriotic, lovers of America" to screw up the democratic process
not work?? It seems such a natural in concept. Go figure.)
But backfire it did. The goal was to get his devotees to vote for Hillary
Clinton during the primaries, which would deviously lengthen the primary
season for Democrats and get the two candidates to deviously pummel each
other.
It's a "plan" worthy of the Bush administration preparing for Iraq. Here's
the problem:
To start with, getting Republicans to vote for Hillary Clinton is a little
like giving someone crack cocaine for free, just to try it. "Hey, this
voting for Hillary Clinton isn't half bad," they'd think. "I'm okay, I feel
good. Empowered." And then you got them. They're hooked.
But far worse, while all the goals of "Operation Chaos" worked...they worked
to the Democrats' advantage! Yes, the Democratic primary season was
elongated -- but all that did was get Democrats out in force for extra
months registering new members to the party -- all the while keeping Obama
and Clinton in the headlines and John McCain out of the news. And secondly,
while those two Democrats did engage in tough campaigning against each
other -- it toughened Obama like nothing ever had before, and brought out
issues that would be unusable old news should Republicans ever hope to
address them four months later.
And the result of all this "Chaos"? Barack Obama still won, and several
polls have him leading John McCain by up to 15 points.
Way to go, Rush Limbaugh. And now you want your devotees to participate in
open democracy and voice their opinions at Democratic meetings across the
country??? Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it. Again.
If Rush Limbaugh thinks that having oceans of secret-Limbaughnians standing
up at Democratic issue meetings and proclaiming that "Our Democratic Party
should stand for staying the course in Iraq, no abortions, a gun in every
lunch box, teaching Intelligent Design in science classes and cutting taxes
for the wealthy" is going to a) fool anyone, and b) suddenly make the
Democratic Party and the Obama campaign go, "Oh, m'god, like, I had no idea
that Democrats actually felt that way, and we should change our platform to
support all of those things"...then Rush Limbaugh is a -
- Hey! Maybe Al Franken was right after all!

That wouldn't work. Football practice is conducted in the afternoons.
Beaners take naps in the afternoons. (They just get exhausted waiting
for work to find them all morning long...)
A football is made of leather. Beaners would think its some kind of
Taco and try to eat it.
Football involves a lot of running. Beaners can't run unless flashing
blue lights are chasing them.
Football involves catching. Beaners can't catch anything unless its
tossed over a fence.
Football involves standing in line sideways. Beaners can only stand
in line single file. Beaners can only stand in a line called Welfare.
Football involves kicking the football. Beaners can't kick anything
that isn't a Chiuahua running around in small circles trying to lick
its ass.
The referee's hand signals would confuse Beaners. The hand signal for
First Down looks like the Ref is saying "That way to the Border!"
The hand signal for Holding looks like "I hurt hand picking beans,
need rest of week off!"
The hand signal for Personal Foul looks like 'Time to put the cuffs
on, S A.'
The hand signal for False Start looks like 'Macarena time!'
The hand signal for Ineligable Reciever Downfield looks like "Have
tequila headache, need time off work!"
The hand signal for Roughing The Kicker looks like "Time to kick the
dog!"
>If Pg's premise is correct then manual labor should make them very fit and a
>really good team
Are you claiming the Beaners are going to start doing some manual
labor? When?
>Unless PG tells me that he hates football
>Patriot Games should like the Patriot team at the least,
I like football!
