Let me know when you are ready to play poker. On my word, 3 of a kind will
beat a royal flush.
Just to help you out. If you try to strangle someone, it takes between 3
and 10 minutes, if the victim is not fighting. And that is based on a
healthy person as victim.
In one of the "killings" Ally strangles someone with a phone cord, runs
through a store, tackles a fully grown man, kills him...carves her name on
his chest, runs back through the store, and kills someone else.
Sure.

Well, 10 minutes is an assassins rule (according to the CIA, KGB and
certain other books, presently on the market). It takes around 1.5 to 3
minutes to first knock someone out, and then bring about death by
strangulation. That is why choking someone is not the number one way to
kill on the hitman hall of fame.
The 10 minute rule usually guarantees someone going unconscious, then
having the heart and lungs stop, completely and finally brain death.
Not that I've ever killed anyone doing this, mind you....

Not bad. Most folks did not know about leaving the body hanging. But
here's a bit of trivia for you. A long, long time ago, it was felt that
leaving the body hanging over night caused the spirit to not be able to
find peace.
I always liked that legend. Can't remember (if I ever knew) how they
figured out about some folks surviving after hanging for a while. I do
remember something about a hanged man in France back sometime in the 1600
who survived after being hung. For almost an hour.
If I remember the story right, some priest wanted the body and they cut
him down early. As they were taking him away he started moving. The priest
declared it a 'miracle of god', so they turned him loose.
Didn't help. A while later, he was arrested for murder again, and hung.
This time it took.
So, 11 minutes could be good.

It does take a while. I saw a rather terrifying interview with mass
murderer Richard Speck on A&E not that long ago, in which he described
- in some detail - the process of strangling one of his victims to
death. He remarked on both the amount of pressure he had to apply and
the extraoridnary length of time he had to apply it for. The sort of
information I could have gone the rest of my life not knowing,
especially hearing it from him in that chilling, nonchalant tone of
his. Brrrrrr...

I think I saw that. Guys like that worry me. There are so many out there
we don't know about yet.
I have seen lots of stuff on Manson, and he just makes me laugh...the
thought of him, and what he did, not the fact that he was able to do
it.....wait....well, that made sense to me.
But, then I look at someone like Bundy, and it is truly frightening what
some creatures are capable of.
LArry
I recall reading somewhere that the usual cause of death for strangling
victims is actually stabbing or gunshot wounds. :-/ Since most murders
are spur-of-the-moment crimes of passion, the killers often hope that
strangling can be passed off as a natural or accidental death. The dopes
don't realize that the amount of pressure needed to cause death almost
always leaves telltale bruises on the neck. But I digress. What usually
happens is that someone strangles the victim, thinks it's over, and then
when the poor victim starts to regain consciousness a few minutes later,
the killer grabs a knife or gun and finishes the job. As usual in cases
of murder, a protracted death with no dignity.

I know what you mean about Manson. He was a 70's guru who managed to
talk drugged-up chicks into killing for him. Not even man enough to
do his own dirty work. I've always considered him and John Wayne Gacy,
who went to his death insisting that his roommates were the killers, to
be the most cowardly of the famous killers. Of course, killers in
general are cowards, preying on the helpless and then breaking down in
tears or playing up their madness when the police come to get them. The
spookiest one I've seen so far is Dahmer, because what he did made
perfect sense to him. He went to the grave thinking that he had really
done nothing wrong, which just creeps the s*** out of me.
Pretty scary... and it kinda rings true to, especially with some of the
stuff Berkowitz says in his interviews with him and how all his informants
kept ending up committing 'suicide'....

I have a cool video of Heather Donahue talking at the San Diego ComicCom and if you knew how the film was made you won't be surprised...... The three were left in the woods alone, and were really scared by the filmmakers at night. They were really lost and the film was most improvisational... each morning they used a GPS to find film cans left for them containing their cues and instructions for the days filming. I thought it was a very convincing job myself....
I watched the Commentary last night. Yeah, they must have gone through
hell for that movie! A chewy bar and an apple a day for food, The "Thing"
WAS thrown away by that guy! And YES they did actually attack each other
in real life :)
The whole thing (as the directors said) was nothing but fighting, insulting
each other, getting lost, getting angry, more fighting, etc, etc.
This is the most unique approach to film making I've ever seen!

We're not bloody well talking about movies or books here, we're talking about a
claim that several prominent serial killers in recent times have been part of a
vast diabolistic murder conspiracy . . . which is bullshit.
I agree that diabolism provides some awesome material for movies and books. I'm
not scared by it personally, and not just because I don't find films or novels
scary. It does make for some excellent stories, though.
I take it you've never worked with David Caruso, then.
Whether or not you believe something is totally up to you, a lot of people
believed the Amittyville Horror for a good long time... I even saw an 'In

Hell there are hicks at work who are still thinking the Blair Witch is
real....
I understand what you are saying. Just because you pour syrup on shit, that
don't make it pancakes.....but I'm saying tieing stuff into real live helps
make stuff seem more real, and therefore more scary...
Godzilla movies don't scare me in the least, but when I was 6 and didn't
know giant monsters didn't come out of the ocean ...it scared me
shitless...cause it didn't know it couldn't have....
There more believeable, whether it monsters, conspiracies of killers, or
whatever might scare you, is; the more it will tend to get under your
skin....

Well, me the Lone Ranger and Santa were talking the other day, and none of
us believe in the Blair Witch. We aren't sure about Terminators though.

When I was a kid, I never believed in giant monsters, or vampires or
werewolves. I knew way to much about real human horror to be worried about
stuff like Dracula, Frankenstein or Godzilla. Or Giant Gila Monsters.
The problem was, I _Wanted_ them to be real. I wanted a monster to do
something, or even a hero to show up....I used to go to bed at night
wondering if Superman or the Phantom were real....and if they were, how
could I get hold of them.
I'm 43, but I'm still looking for mutants, monsters Superman or the Lone
Ranger. But they never show up.

Did'nt you know The Blair Witch is... David Caruso ape like half sister,
that was born in the deep woods outside of New York and moved to
Burkitsville.
She did have red hair from head to toe, but dyed it so she could blend into
the darkness better.
And on very cold nights out in the woods of Burkitsville, if you listen very
closely you can hear a girls voice humming the tune to "Hill Street Blues"
:P
No, it is not only illegal if you make it. For one, just a
note, 'Aftermath was not real', ok all fixed. No the Ally Farson movie
is claiming that it is a snuff movie, a snuff movie is when someone
goes out and films themselves or others commiting murders, so thus the
video in itself becomes evidence or what not. Viewing snuff, showing
snuff, and owning snuff is illegal because it makes you an accessory to
the murder. Stuff like newsreels and 'Faces of Death' are either live
news footage or the equivilent, they don't all go out and physically
commit the murder just for the film (that's what makes it snuff)
freedom of the press etc. There is a BIG difference. So if Shadowman
Films are claiming this is a genuine snuff film, that may be considered
a crime as misleading etc. Sortof like if you go somewhere with a
packet of flour and claim its cocain you can be arrested for it.
