Dark places like North Korea, and most of sub-Saharan Africa seem to be
contributing very little to global emissions. Maybe we should aspire to
be them...

If that is supposed to be about urban
heat islands, it is bad science, there can
be lights and lots of grass and trees and
weeds and flowers and scrub brush and
no UHI.

But there can be no lights, and lots
of pavement and buildings with surfaces
that are dry, causing a loss of evaporative
cooling near the weather service recording
stations, and giving temperature readings
as much as 8 degrees F higher than if
there was normal landscape.

Dry UHI vanishes during rain, and
is less when windy, completely unlike
any premise of UHI that might be due
to lights.

oh you mean you think those bright spots are not urban locations.

The key to such a nonsense reply is to ask if you think that the
bright spots are not indicators of urban locations? The obvious
answer is yes they are, which inherently means such an image is quite
helpful.

Lights don't tell what all the conditions
are, if there are trees, the lights give a
false impression, building roofs and
parking lots may have no lights showing
above at all.

The only way to treat UHI questions
is to compare the temperature with
known normal conditions a few miles
away.

I see times when the airport is as
much as 8 degrees F warmer than
where I live.

Like any image it tells a story its a snapshot in time, the night
lights indicate urban areas in 2012. The bad science kick in when
people like you have an emotional irrational illogical response and
expect such idiocy to dictate reality.

"Urban areas" do not necessarily equate
to UHI temperature anomalies, and large
areas of dry pavement can cause a lot of
temperature change near recording devices.

The bad science is trying to achieve
science with a faulty accumulation of data,
and expecting the world to get all excited
over nothing that hasn't been happening
long before you were born.

The idea that a city has to be a UHI
is faulty in itself, it is dryness that is the
big factor in UHIs, not the heat.
Dry is warmer if it replaces moist soil.

One can correlate such information with other data, such as the study
below, from the "The Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and
Reflection Radiometer(ASTER)" to determine a UHI profile, and a
relationship between vegetation and temp over time and determine the
impact of UHI mitigation measures. Thats called science.

But you claimed it wasnt science, and i gave you a clear path to make
a correlation between the image showing urban locations at night, a
UHI profile, and relationship between vegetation and temp over time
which directly addresses your supposed concerns. Now if you really
were interested in the science you would have admitted that, instead
you did not connect the two sources you played a stupid trolling game
and you were called out. Funny how quickly i can dismiss the myths
put forward by the lame workings of a troll.

Warmies? Did you even look at the site?

"Environmental issues are not isolated instances. They are a broad
national concern with civil rights implications. Historically, people
of color have disproportionately experienced negative outcomes
associated with their physical environment."

"This report focuses on the role that coal-fired power plants have in
the inequitable health outcomes of low income communities and
communities of color in the U.S. and in the contribution of greenhouse
gasses that drive climate change, the consequences of which also
disproportionately impact people of color and low income communities
globally."

Yes, that is what some warmies claim,
it doesn't get as cold, so they say it is getting
hotter, that shows backward thinking, like

I have this TURBO 7.0 compiler under windows XP. and I have programs
and data. I have been examining that NOAA data. and noticed that the
region from 1990 to 2012 is almost all above the BEST FIT LINE. I
plotted that data and it is wicked bad news. it is MUCH HIGHER
SLOPE than the BEST FIT. that implies it is accelerating upward. no
cooling. no stalling. just wicked upward motion.

Inhofe does not like the documentation of emissions from local
industry, which means he thinks the local residents dont deserve to
know what kind of pollution is occurring in their neighborhood. He is
a denaislist troll.

Pure science - a correlation between the image showing urban locations
at night, a UHI profile, and relationship between vegetation and temp
over time.

All im saying is that one can make a simple correlation between the
image showing urban locations at night, a UHI profile, and
relationship between vegetation and temp over time and that would
address your so called fears.

You are unbelievably stupid, and so is
anybody that thinks the heat from UHI is
the problem when it is the higher temperature
data that makes temperatures look higher
than they actually are.

Can somebody else make this stupid
idiot understand that images of the
light cover does not tell anything about
thermometer readings being higher
than they would be in the presence
of normal and natural moisture and
transpiration vegetation?

Come on silly, one main denialist talking point has been location
where the temperature data is gathered, which is at the premise of
your idiotic argument that " temperatures look higher than they
actually are.". Once again if a person like you had a genuine
interest in the subject, you would understand the benefit of making a
correlation amongst the image showing urban locations at night, a UHI
profile, and relationship between vegetation and temp over time. Your
old eyes are burnt as you cant read, and now you are limited to stupid
idiotic knee jerk reactions prompted from the central command of your
denialist cult.
