[IMPORTANT] This is a time of peace to all people when squabbles
normally get overlooked. Susan Bugher's Obituary Notice on the 13th is
a serious transgression of good taste and out of character with the ACF
FAQ. ACF can not have a point person who has started to behave like that.

Given recent events, I thought it may be prudent to get the groups
feelings regarding the point person for ACF. Please note, I have *no*
ulterior motive in doing this outside of wanting to know the group's
wishes in regards to Pricelessware. With that in mind, I've devised a
series of rules aimed at obtaining what ACF participants would like to
see happen. For this to work, please be honest in your answers and try
not to let personal grievances dictate your responses. I'll let it run
for a period of time and at the end, tally the results.

The FAQ permits immediate action in an emergency. I propose a poll to
determine a temporary point person to immediately replace Susan. No one
need stand explicitly as that will delay the return of ACF to normality.

Please reply to this thread to vote for a person to take temporary
immediate charge of ACF liaison and the Pricelessware website.

To make it fair, forgeries, known sockpuppets and anonymous posters with
no posting history in alt.comp.freeware will be discounted. To be
absolutely fair, I will, however, modify my filters to allow all those
currently in my bozo bin a voice in this particular thread.

To keep this thread from going to the shithouse like so many before, I
ask that people don't respond to any other post, just post your answers
and leave it at that. If you feel you *must* take issue with someone's
post, please make a new thread and subject so as not to pollute this one.

Rule 1.
You have three votes. For your submission to count vote for your three
most favoured people to replace Susan. Show your preference by marking
each with 1, 2 or 3. No repeated numbers are permitted.

Rule 2.
You do not have to use all 3 votes in one submission. Votes which are
not used can be used in a later submission. However individual votes 1,2
or 3 which have already been cast can not be changed.

Rule 3.
You may vote for the same person only once. You may make one of the
votes for yourself.

Rule 4.
Do not use your response for personal attacks or to reference another
posters answers. Feel free to expand on your response, however,

Rule 5.
The rules may be amended according to circumstance if it turns out
unforeseen matters arise. This will not invalidate votes already cast.

Rule 6.
The poll is supervised by me and I will be the judge to resolve any
matters of dispute, if any, which may arise.

Rule 7.
Breaking any of the above rules nullifies your entire vote.

If the voting is inconclusive I am willing to take over Susan's role on
a purely temporary basis until aother poll is arranged.

Oo I like that bit at the end. I take it "temporary basis" means a
period of One Thousand Years.
In effect you are writing the rules and appointing yourself.

Unless you can prove beyond reasonable doubt to the contrary I, for one, am
NOT prepared to accept that it was indeed Susan Bugher who posted the
offending message, and not somebody (not excluding yourself) posting AS
(i.e., impersonating) Susan Bugher in order to bring about such a situation
as you describe.

Your actions here seem to me to be grossly premature. It appears that, on
the strength of the mere possibility, without positive proof, that Susan
Bugher posted an offensive message you have taken it upon yourself to
declare her an unfit person and summarily dismiss her and have her replaced
by a person of the choosing of a few self-selected (and perhaps
self-interested) voters or, in default, yourself -- all whilst not even
having the courage to come out from hiding behind a pseudonym.

In saying that you would take the position yourself absent a consensus, you
have declared yourself to be an interested party and therefore the result
(or non-result) of any ballot on the matter conducted by you will in my view
automatically be null and void.

I came on a.c.f. about a month ago and it didn't take me long to find
out who the dickheads were or who forges posts. Franklin and Ari are
the two most prevalent twats in a.c.f. Franklin even goes a step further
by spewing out his hummingbird waffle (he has a beef with the
hummingbird dude).

Nice try Franklin, the OP was obviously from you and not Me here. At

in a.c.f., but after reading it again, it has your fingerprints all over

I am at ACF about ten years.
I had in last time 1-2 year period when I did not visit ACF regularly.

Comparing to old times, ACF became in some aspects waste water.

Concerning topics themselves, there were much stricter rules
what posts are accepted/tolerated.

Concerning groups members behavior, if there is such approach to Susan,
( and I do not remember complains to her in deep past )

than list of suitable Bozo bin candidates
would be very difficult to manage.

Nicolaas, I have not had reason in the past to call you a fool but
I will do so now. All you're trying to do is to protect Bugher
because the post repulsive and only appealing to PWH cultists.

If you check the headers they are clearly those of Bugher's.

If you believe the post wasn't made by her, then YOU need to
provide contrary evidence, not demand that others provide more
because it's already there.

Awwwww, trust that Ari to break up a sweet festival of self-
delusion. Some of those congratulatory posts are so strange it
would be interesting to know more about the authors. The stats
show they are long time prolific posters. I know someone who fits
that bill but he doesn't use the same name. Now, I wonder ....

Since me here always posts from an australian server and not motzarella,
I would have thought it obvious even for a fool like yourself that this
spoof wouldn't fool anyone who has been reading a.c.f. for longer than a
few weeks. There are so many posts complaining about spoofing and
spoofers over the last month that it has become a necessity to read
headers or do what me here has done and create a filter that identifies
spoofs and spoofers. Then again, you know this already since you were
the one who spoofed him in the first place. And before you ask, I came
about that conclusion by simply having been here to read all your posts
in the me here poll and the writing style used there is identical to
yours displayed in the OP of this thread. Franklin, you fully deserve
the name queen of slime and I can see why people have a problem with you
(and why so many have you kill filed).

Ok, I assume that Nicolaas is a 'kiwi' which I take it to mean he is
from new zealand. You do know new zealand is a totally different
country from australia and is in a different time zone from the one I'm
posting from? Let's see your Junior Detective badge explain that one

These pairs of cities all share very considerable cultural,
social and economic interests with one another and communication
between them is very straightforward.

European values are for the most part shared between Paris and
London. One has only to compare Paris and Pyongyang in order to
see how similar Paris and London are.

I think you knew that but you just needed to find an excuse for
an argument. On the other hand I suggest we just stick to the
facts.

(If you are genuinely not familiar with the cultural, social and
economic values involved then maybe do some background checking
before parading such a lack of understanding of the world.)

Unlike you, I don't automatically jump to assumptions, especially just
because some fool adds "Gay Kiwi" to someones name. For all I knew,
it's just a simple nickname related to his shape, not his birth country.
After you waffled on about timezones, I put 2 and 2 together and
worked out according to you, Nicolaas was a new zealander, hence, the
reason why I made the point of mentioning that.

Shut up fool, God you dribble on. You've been kicked in the ass
numerous times now and yet you still can't admit how wrong you are.
People change timezones regardless of whether or not you believe they
should. Oh and by the way, if you think that the 2 hour timezone
difference between Sydney and new zealand is a small difference, maybe
you've been up in the hills too long - we have a unit called hours now,
not just 'daylight' and 'nighttime'.

Your babbling again Franklin.

You wrote: "...if they share a culture..."

I simply pointed out that it doesn't exist as you assert, except
that all are human beings and eat food etc.

So do people in all other cities.

You will hard pushed to find two cities so geographically close
with such different cultures as Paris and London.

As a general rule of thumb, you will find London is closer to
American and Australian cities than Paris, Rome or Madrid etc.
That is mainly because we share a common language and the
others are all Latin languages.

Hello Hummingbird/Chris, I wrote:

"Cities communicate with one another very closely
if they share a culture even if they are in
different time zones"

news:Xns9B75792A...@204.153.245.20

You didn't understand the use of the term "culture" and replied:

"There is virtually no common culture between
Paris and London. Nor much between native LA-ers
and NY-ers, nor between HK and Singapore or the
others."

The bit I really like is when you said "there is virtually no
common culture between Paris and London". Well, I patiently
explained to you the common heritage and values:

"These pairs of cities all share very considerable
cultural, social and economic interests with one
another and communication between them is very
straightforward.

European values are for the most part shared

between Paris and London. One has only to compare
Paris and Pyongyang in order to see how similar
Paris and London are."

As you had dug a hole for yourself you then said something even
more inane than usual:

"I simply pointed out that it doesn't exist as
you assert, except that all are human beings
and eat food etc. So do people in all other cities.

You will hard pushed to find two cities so
geographically close with such different cultures
as Paris and London."

You are letting the ages old bickering between the two of you to
cloud your judgement. Paris and London and are capitals of two
nominally christian countries which have similar (never identical)
views about human rights, commerce, art, banking, trade, etc.
Apart from the language a resident of one can easily function
within the other. I have spent time in both cities and both are
very similar. Go to Riyadh and see what a different culture means.

> As a general rule of thumb, you will find London is closer to
> American and Australian cities than Paris, Rome or Madrid etc.
> That is mainly because we share a common language and the
> others are all Latin languages.

Culture is more than language. What a narrow minded moron.

It's a waste of time explaining anything to you.

EOT for me.

John,
1. When asked if he posts through Virgin.net in the UK said
"don't believe everything you read"? but has this in his From:
and Reply-To: headers:

<anna.riceD...@virgin.net> ?

2. Who said he has only ever used <whatever> news client to post,
but was immediately presented with a post, in his own name, with
this different news client in the headers:

User-Agent: 40tude_Dialog/2.0.15.41 ?

NB: this incident occured immediately after 6-8 forgeries were
made in the name of a ukpm poster using 40tude_Dialog/2.0.15.41.

3. Who said he has killfiled me, but replies to many of my posts?
(according to my Hamster logs)

Why - yes John Stubbings - it's you!

Isn't that amazing.

Can you see how evidence mounts up against you?

These posts actually contain no 'unique' info from my posts.

From the four forged posts cited

X-Auth-Sender: U2FsdGVkX19tfPLARcpxAcLvcFEn/BFyxOmgkZzUL+BcvKX6kcYJNg==
X-Auth-Sender: U2FsdGVkX19oy/iEK3BCd32WMDXMBip8uYvq3T7AoZ5hxBpRucIjNQ==
X-Auth-Sender: U2FsdGVkX18w2AzKkkJSLiZqeaX2rXxKTXAyeMKz7ZfVJasPtHE4rg==
X-Auth-Sender: U2FsdGVkX1/zn5VDWAyQlTyplp6YBg4/eJ8Oc17y4kU+yUddBODOYA==

Note all four of these lines from the forged posts are 72 characters long

This line cited by Hummingbird is 80 characters

X-Auth-Sender:
U2FsdGVkX18+wWdkFA+avbY+x2vJYIxv79CB1rdHI7gLU8bpT51oubEW5ag4uT9v

All lines start with U2FsdGVkX, this is common for every Microsoft
newsreader used by millions of people, there is nothing 'unique' in the
rest
of the lines.

But of course HB knows this. Another lie.
