ever see or hear of compulsives who when they see a knife of pointy
object just sitting on a counter top want to pick it up and start
poking their eyes out.? Is there a name for that condition?

I like the funny way you put it, Boze - describing the condition,
then asking if there's a name for it? That was good.

I like the innocent way of putting the question to someone, as if
the impulse to gouge out your own eyes is perfectly normal. Like
this:

"You know how when you see a knife or pointy object sitting on a
counter top and you just want to pick it up and start poking your eyes
out? Is there a name for that condition?"

I like it that way, Bozo. That's the way I read it. Like you
think it's a totally normal compulsion, but you really would like to
know if it has a name. I suppose they could give it a CAMT
(capitalized, abbreviated, medical title), like maybe CEPU (compulsive
eye poke urge).

Yes Bozo, it's the style I was talking about, or the format, or
whatever it's called. You can't stand there doing it all night, but
now and then it's funny to come up with something like that. You know
how you look at a total stranger and just have this really incredible
urge to slaughter them? Is there a name for that?

Bozo, what do you call it when you take a steak knife and can't help
but give yourself a tracheotomy every spring?

Regards,
Daisy

Omaha man says this was his second self-tracheotomy

The 55-year-old Omaha man who performed a tracheotomy on himself with
a steak knife says he did the same thing to himself two years ago.

Steve Wilder said Friday that his throat is shrunken because of
radiation treatments for cancer. Those treatments ended four years
ago, but scar tissue remains. He said seasonal allergies may have
caused his struggle to breathe overnight April 30.

"I didn't feel no pain. I was just trying to survive," Wilder said in
his high-pitched, gravelly voice. "I got relief right away. There was
a big gush of blood, and I was able to start sucking in air."

Wilder said he fell asleep watching television in his basement but
awakened when he felt himself suffocating. His wife, Cora, called an
ambulance.

"I thought they might get here fast enough that I wouldn't have to do
that," he said. "But I couldn't breathe no more."

He bolted for the kitchen and picked up a steak knife and made a
quarter-inch incision.

"I knew that would chop it open pretty good," he said.

After medics took him to a hospital, he was given antibiotics to
prevent a possible infection. The next day his physician inserted a
tube in his throat.

Wilder, who did not give his occupation, said he's working again and
feeling good.

He said he's had three tracheotomies since 2004. He performed the
first one on himself in 2006 under similar circumstances.

"They think I might have some kind of allergy," Wilder said. "The only
time I get a shortage of wind is in the spring. It's seasonal."

A spokeswoman for Immanuel Medical Center, Lora Ullerich, said Friday
that because of federal medical privacy restrictions she would not be
able to comment on Wilder's situation.

A tracheotomy, a procedure that opens up the windpipe, typically is
done in a surgical setting. Wilder said he isn't ready to perform
tracheotomies on other people.

But his doctor told him that he did a pretty good job on himself.

"I told him we should split the bill then," Wilder said.

Daisy, Stop trying to upstage the news reports by using your own
words as an introduction. This deceiftul and devious tactic is
obvious and therefore insulting to all you use it on. If you are
going to comment on the articles you choose to send to the group,
please put after the article. In fact, stop commenting, period. Just
send in the articles in a selfless and sharing manner. Save your
comments for your original posts, which will become fewer and fewer as
you become sucked into the lazy habit of using news reports to tell
your stories.

ChattyD, ignore all those rants by Tommy about posting original
material unless you think it's worthwhile.

About your reprint on a tracheotomy, I think it illustrates the
importance of niche marketing, which is why I sent it to the Swiss
Army Knife People.

I think a trach tool for people like Wilder is worth considering. A
sharp pointy doo-hicky for poking through flesh and bone would be a
perfect addition to the "Rescue Tool & Knife of 2007" which you can
see at http://www.swissarmy.com/MultiTools/Pages/Product.aspx?category=doityourself&product=53900&

Or added perhaps to the 'Blue Swiss Army "Skipper" Knife' in honor of
my new nom de Guerre "Skipper" at http://www.princetonwatches.com/shop/53663.asp

OR better yet it belongs on the all new "Swiss Army Altimeter Plus
Knife" at http://www.princetonwatches.com/shop/53957.asp. I could see
a pointy little trach tool built into the "Altimeter Plus Knife",
perfect for sky divers worried about chute lines getting bunched-up
around their blow holes during free fall. Now that's a convincing
product demo I'd like to see on YouTube. Especially when they cut all
their lines.

I was reluctant to click on the links after once doing so only to see
your wide spread deformity. The links surprised me; I always figured
you were born like that or had some disease whose name escapes me
right now; what do they call that disease where a person feels strong
desire to insert small kitchen appliances like potato peelers, whisks,
immersion technology blenders and perhaps industrious ice cream
scoopers into the rectum? When need be how do you get an accurate body
temperature reading?

MY PROCTOLOGIST JUST PHONED AND SAID "You asshole! That's a

It is unfair of you to openly dwell on that one link bozo sent
in. Think for one moment how narrow-minded you are. The only link
from bozo you ever clicked on was one that made you feel unpleasant.
You assumed on the basis of one unpleasant bozo experience that all
bozo experiences would be the same. But this is a selfish approach.
What if it happened in reverse? If your first bozo experience was
pleasant, surely you'd come back for more. Then, what if, on about
the tenth return trip to experience bozo - what if he then suddenly
surprised you with a very unpleasant bozo experience out of the blue?
Suddenly you'd be crying that he tricked you, that he made you believe
he was a nice guy who was always pleasant. Which is worse, a nice guy
pretending to be unpleasant, or an unpleasnt guy pretending to be
nice? I am sick of the way you keep throwing the asshole pictures in
bozo's face. Stop pestering my friend or I'll tear you a new asshole.

I genuinely believe all those tests are a bunch of mumbo jumbo.
If they find something, it's already to large to remove. Or maybe
they'll get lucky 1 out of 100 times and make an advertisement out of
it. I'm going with the emergency room, no tests for me. I don't want
to know what I've got till it gets there

You know this thing about cavernous assholes is just emblematic of
what any taboo is about. As you know, I am a taboo iconoclast. Aside
from the obvious and obscure taboos that haunt cultures everywhere,
the mother and most powerful taboo of all taboos (aside from not
working for a living) is the taboo of even discussing taboos. "You may
be able to get away with ass raping my little kids but don't you DARE
TALK ABOUT IT IN PUBLIC as if it's a talkshow issue." I think that's
why taboos or worse yet the image of a taboo (i.e. Goatse) is
considered so disturbing. The image of a taboo is perhaps more potent
and threatening than the taboo itself because it attempts to undermine
the foundation of a taboo. That's why the possession of kiddie porn is
treated automatically as Kryptonite. It's how the law doubles down on
the taboo of discussing it. Even if you introduce a totally synthetic
image of a taboo, you have virtually short circuited the most
important property of a taboo, which is the ability to recognize a
taboo, which can only be overtly expressed by abiding by not to
discuss it, and obviously if you look at or show an image of a
taboo ... well the critics would say you may have gone beyond
discussing it ... a little bit ... or as Goodfellas like to say "No,
no, no, no, no. You insulted him a little bit. You got a little bit
out of order yourself. No I didn't insult him. I didn't insult him.
I'm sorry. You insulted him a little bit. No, I didn't insult nobody.
Now give us a drink."

-Bozo-

PS: The taboo of not discussing a taboo is what perpetuates a taboo
and can only be enforced if you abide by the recognition of a taboo,
which is to not discuss a taboo. Ipso facto ergo proctor hoc. In other
words, it's a taboo, you asshole.

Or in other words, according to Freud, the clinomorphism of why
prohibitions of Taboo exist is p[robably because "The prohibitions (of
taboos) must have concerned activities towards which there was a
strong inclination."

All these excuses to pretend that it's not your own rectum photo.
Admit it, you got out of control one night and snapped a few pictures
of your rectum and now you regret it, but are too pompous to admit
it.

First of all, are you Bozo's attorney? I was here for quite some time
before Bozo came forward with that link to his rectum and I sort of
liked him prior to that. Now you may think I'm racist when it comes to
wide deep assholes and maybe I am, but I don't like Bozo now and
what's worse is he pretends the rectum is not his own. An unpleasant
guy pretending to be nice is worse than the other way around. Bozo
doesn't pretend to be nice or unpleasant, he pretends that the rectum
isn't his and I don't like it -- he's less than truthful, a quality I
can't forgive. Bozo needs to claim the rectum before we can move
forward. Do you hear that you coward? Next time I won't be so nice;
defend yourself and your rectum or forever hold your piece!

Daisy

Some of you may be happy to learn that since I posted my last and very
naive commentary on the subject of taboos and the admonition of
discussing them, that something ... some thing ... that someTHIIING
happened to me ... that can only be described as ... UNSPEAKABLE ...
and now I know why a taboo cannot be discussed ... I ... HOPE ...
YOU'RE ... HAAAAPPY.

Colon, your intentions are appreciated. It's obvious that you went to
a lot of trouble on my behalf; thanks. I'm not sure if I'd click on
any of those links if I had to do it to save my own life. I don't need
the whole photo album; one photo was enough for me. Some people like a
big coffee table book of photographs and that's fine, I understand.
For me I'm just saying that one photograph of Bozo's deformed rectum
was enough. On what side do you photograph best?

Daisy, I'm afraid the web is sort of an unforgiving communal IQ and
Rorschach test to see who among us when challenged with doubt,
uncertainty and misinformation can still uncover the truth without
cheating, tutoring or outside influence so as to be deceived or led
astray by internal or external bias, which given the availability of
search engines with infinite horizons toward perfect information is
almost inexcusable.

Either way, here you go:

The truthless communal IQ people have one thing you haven't got: a
diploma. Therefore, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the
Universitartus Committiartum E Pluribus Unum, I hereby confer upon you
the honorary degree of ThD. ThD = Doctor of Thinkology.
