Past-Life Deniers: Tony Ortega (Village Voice blog) and his followers,

Truth is absolute - it is only the DEGREE
of Perception, that makes Truth SEEM "relative,"
"personal," or even "conflicting."
Koos Nolst Trenite

'
Having spent some of my very valuable time, to take stock of current,
and - of those expected to do so - at times VIOLENT and "always
rational" intent,
to HIDE the past of self and others, [FPL]*
examining them, I sorted out the following comments to Tony Ortega's
misanthropic attempt, recently,**
"to enlighten Mankind, by way of his very rationality"
- rationality that the Humanists commonly want others
to believe stems, universally even, from Mankind's
past lives as monkeys - (no kidding!) [FPL]*
"about the past of people."
'
And I might as well share with you my selection of the relevant,
hilarious quotes "from those enlightened and rational minds"
who wish to embrace everyone with their decidedly un-enlightened
and very sadly darkened (and darkening) soul, with their wanton,
REVERSE "rationality,"
with warped and wayward, wanton wit:
Whithering in wafting wiliness,
they wilt their wationality and
wripple so, their whinking.
'
'
Wishing you who can, to un-suffer the 'endarkenment' inflicted, and
instead, to connect to joyful life
- not least connect to friends of yesterday and loves of past
lives true -
and thus I do remain, etc., etc.,

The quotes - some of which show the darkening intent and the darkened
rationale mentioned
- others merely hide their sadness, and try to 'put a happy
face' while they comply with the demand of Sociopaths on
them: "YOUR PAST DOES NOT EXIST!" -
to rationalize, in various clever ways, the denial of their own and
others' past:

I think that scientolgy is batshit crazy but it seems that anyone can
do this shit to people because of the laws in the U.S. TV preachers
have been conning people out of money for years.James Randi exposed
many of them and even exposed scientology as well as psychic's like
Uri Geller and sylvia brown. The question then arises as to why this is
allowed in a country that claims freedom even though every history
professor that dares to speak out about the abuses in america come
under fire.'

How ridiculous this is! Let me get back to my wine that turns to
blood, virgins that give birth, dead carpenters that come back to
life, and my holy book that teaches me how to sell my daughter (but
not my son) into slavery. '
'ramrodjohnny
When I was a child, I was told "when you grow up johnny-boy, you can
be what ever you want to be. You can be a Painter, a Fire-Man, Doctor,
etc.etc" . Not one time, NOT ONE FUCKING TIME was I told that I could
be the pilot of a whizz-bang super-duper SPACESHIP !! Blowing up
planets and leading million of minions across "gul-ax-ees" to some
dump planet called Teeg-e-ack!!!
Now why is that ??
I will tell you why. I was brought up by Intelligent
Anglo-Sax-Christians that new better and the 'diff' between Old School
Religious beliefs (hyperbole and storied examples) and fucking
fairy-tails !!!
You see this story from the great and wonderful TONY, is just more
proof that those that fell into Scientology and those that are IN
because they want to be (indies or churchies) that bought into the OT
III GARBAGE, or are just ramping up to the OT levels, have a little
kink in their brain-stem to begin with. This kind of of fairy tale
does NOT have a place in the BRAINS of normal (thats right, I said
NORMAL) humans, like the 99.9% of us here on Teegeack. If you even
consider you may have lived "Trillions" of years ago you need REAL
HELP...I'm sorry Karen de La "alexaders Mom" but you are a nutter too,
in fact, ANYONE buying in to any of HUBBARD'S garbage needs to get
some real help because living in THAT KIND of fantasy land is
extremely dangerous!!! just check out the STATS!!!!'

See, this is what really baffles me. The "ex" scientologists and the
"independent" scientologists all want to cram their "credentials" down
everyone's throat as if to prove "see how high up I was".
Um, from where I'm sitting, that's nothing to boast about. I can
imagine that someone who bought into this fraud, hook, line & sinker
would be quite embarrassed about it once they get out and want to
shout from the hilltop "LOTS OF REALLY SMART PEOPLE GOT SUCKED INTO
THIS". Sorry, I don't buy it. There is a personality quirk or
something that I don't understand. It's not as if people go into this
without the promise of power over others, superiority to others,
money, a pseudo intellectualism they will attain. There's just
something off about this.'

Let me say this, I am just an unimportant, regular person in this
world. My job as I see it is to have raised my kids to be good, solid,
members of society. I have no desire to "save the planet" on the scale
that scientologists buy into. My "saving the planet" does not have to
be big and splashy. I am under no delusions that I have the key to the
universe and the answers to everything that could ever be asked. Most
of the people I know are just regular salt of the earth folks. No
illusions of grandeur, no desire to force their way of thinking on
anyone else. Absolutely no desire to convince myself or others that I
was Cleopatra, Eve, Abe Lincoln, a space ship pilot who saved the
planet in a previous life. No desire whatsoever or no need to believe
that what I believe is the one true way. The millions of people in the
world who just take care of their little part of the world, ie their
families, their communities, etc are do more to "save the planet" if I
can borrow that fabulist line, than any adherent to this fraudulent
cult could ever do in a zillion lifetimes.'

another issue I have and mentioned it on another thread.
Instead of using the cult gibberish, which means absolutely nothing,
why not use plain English to describe what these silly terms actually
mean, ie, tech=crazy shit, PC, damn near duped & deluded; Clear=duped
& deluded, OT I thru infinity=really crazy shit, Auditor=The loon who
kept asking me weird ass questions,
SP=someone who points and laughs at scientology, Base=Home Office of
the Loons, Wog=sane person who never believed any of this shit, etc.
By continuing to use the ridiculous terminology and lingo of this
silly cult, you sort of validate them. These words mean nothing in
real life. Just like the "religion". It means nothing. It's based on
nothing but science fiction/comic books/wackadoodle psycho babble.'

I've reached the point in this conversation where I really don't care
what you think. You haven't contributed one iota to the conversation
but have done a pretty decent job of derailing the subject, especially
considering you haven't got a clue what you're talking about. I tried
to dialogue with you because I thought you legitimately didn't know
what was what, but you know what? Nobody is this thick. '

I wasn’t upset because of OT 3, it’s a given that that was bullshit,
for me it was the entirety of Scientology fell apart in the blink of
an eye, past lives, spiritual beings, it was all a lie. The entire
foundation dropped out of site in a split second. It took my breathe
away but opened my eyes to the real truth'
[buddhism]
'Plotinus
to GerardPlourde heathergraceful
Indeed. Scientology is the exact opposite of Buddhism and Advaita.
Scientology is the practice of building up the ego by intense focus on
memories, whether they are real or not, creating an elaborate and
largely invented sense of self. This leads to false perception of
reality, and potentially insanity. Buddhism/Advaita are about
releasing the past entirely, and being centered in the present, with
the net result of destroying the ego and false sense of self. This
leads to enhanced perception of reality, and wisdom.'
'windhorsegallery
to Plotinus GerardPlourde heathergraceful
Well spoken Plotinus. I've often said that the "value" in scientology
(well before it got so completely f**d up) was that it helped a person
whose life was fractured by drugs, low self-esteem, divorce, etc and
helped to put that ego back together. Not altogether a bad thing BUT
BUT rather than THAN reduce that ego and or "self" it built up the ego
dangerously to some sort of super duper I'm better than you creature
... BTW -- buddhism can do this to if the practitioner isn't extremely
careful not to USE buddhism to BUILD an ego rather than use buddhism
to see there is no "self" Agreed - buddhism is about "letting go" of
attachments which includes of course the past.'

to victoriapandora mimsey sara Human beings are material creatures,
we have no "spirit". L Ron and the rest of the schizophrenic guru con
men had it wrong. We are Animals, no better than the rest and in most
cases less. All of this spiritual supernatural nonsense stems from
the fear of death and the concept of "human exceptionalism" or ego.
You can take that to the bank and I don't mean the reactive one.

to mimsey The answer is: NONE OF THEM ARE REAL. They are all in the
person's vivid imagination -- made more so by the susceptible and
suggestible nature of "auditing" or what we in the Wog world like to
refer to as hypnosis.'
'Alanzo
Very good insight into the mind of a Scientologist, Tony. Your
self-identity is who you tell yourself you are. When you undergo
auditing, you "learn" all these new incidents about yourself, and you
undergo a radical transformation of who you tell yourself you
are.Brainwashing is the process of getting a person to change his
self-identity. You want to get the target to tell himself that he is a
person with goals and purposes, and memories, that you as the
brainwasher can control. The ultimate success of Hubbard's
brainwashing technology was to get someone to sign a billion year
contract to "clean up this sector of the universe", and where he could
completely control a person's environment and their self-identity, and
keep them working for him for free. If you look at the ethics
technology Hubbard developed with this view of installing a new
self-identity, you can see more of the direction Hubbard's "research
and development" took him. Hubbard's ethics technology is designed to
maintain this controllable Scientology self-identity once it's been
installed. This is an important thing for our society to know about -
if we wish to remain a free society.'
'Frank_Booth
to olcranky The question is why do people believe in obviously crazy
stuff and not logical and scientifically provable stuff ? Could it be
because they were indoctrinated in the delusion of their parents at a
tender age ? Magical Thinking should have been educated out of
existence long ago. There should be mandatory "Magical Thinking 101"
classes in every grammar school.'

(on morphine) The one thing of value that I learned from my own brief
flirtation with the Silva Mind Control System, a fairly benign and
unauthoritarian group was how to control my dreams. This still pleases
me. And in my waking hours, sometimes when I'm bored I wander off into
a made-up world where I can be whoever I want to be and have exciting
adventures. But all the while I know none of this is real. Of that I'm
sure. I've never taken mind-altering drugs except alcohol and tobacco,
but for one time a short while ago, recovering in Wellington Hospital
after an operation to rebuild my left elbow after a major fracture I
discovered something not previously experienced Because I was in some
pain, I was hooked up to a morphine dispenser and by pressing a button
could give myself a regular dose. Late at night when the lights were
out in the ward, the only illumination being the reflection of the
hall lights on the linoleum floor, I discovered to my delight that I
could create a different reality by merely thinking about it. So I
made a tableau of men and women exquisitely dressed in purple and gold
costumes and I had them dance for me: proper dancing that is, polkas,
foxtrots and waltzes. They really existed in three dimensions at the
time and I could command them to do whatever I wished But after a day
the staff took my morphine away and replaced it with Paracetamol which
does not have the seductive allure of opiates, which was perhaps a
good thing.'
