What makes politicians, government administrators, and developers responsive to a community's needs?  They pay more attention to communities that vote, and they are responsive to communities that have the ability to efficiently communicate, both among themselves and outside their neighborhood.

What are the two primary ways you can help:

1.) Vote in the primary election tomorrow.  It does make a difference - it will demonstrate that you are concerned about what goes on around you.

2.) Encourage one or two of your friends and neighbors to add their email address to our community email alert list at www.neweastside.org   We have been stuck below eleven hundred for the last couple of months.  Then follow-up in a couple of days to confirm your neighbors acted on your suggestion.  Or get their permission to add their address for them.  

As a new 501(c)(3) IRS approved organization, we cannot recommend individual candidates.  However, we can encourage you to participate in the election process...and we need the ability to communicate to better represent the best interests of our New Eastside neighborhood.
