Welcome the the New Eastside Association of Residents (NEAR) living in downtown Chicago north of Grant Park to the Chicago River, and east of Michigan Avenue to Lake Michigan. Our community organization was incorporated as a Not-For-Profit Illinois Corporation in 1991, and was designated by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) organization in 2011. We use the Google Group email program to communicate with our residents, and the website www.NewEastside.ORG to share indepth information on community issues.
