((30 minutes later, Brig, USS Kitty Hawk))

The doors to the brig parted as Roshanara and Rivi stepped in. Wil was behind a forcefield in one of the brig's holding cells. As soon as Rivi's gaze found Wil's, she lit up.

Vataix: Wil! How are you doing in there?

Ukinix: Response

Roshanara just stayed quiet as she walked up beside Rivi, the two women taking up stance across from Wil, only the forcefield separating them.

Vataix: So... I've worked something out with Captain Rahman.

Rahman: Indeed.

Ukinix: Response

Rivi looked back at Roshanara and then grinned as she clapped her hands together.

Vataix: Energize!

A beam of light took Wil away once again...

((Chief of Mission's Accomodations, Beijing District, Amity Outpost))

Wil materialized in the home of Rivi and Tidrid Vataix, the Amity crew having gathered already.

Everyone: SURPRISE!

Ukinix: Response

Shortly thereafter, Rivi and Roshanara materialized as well, along with Sky Blake and another three familiar officers from Wil's past: Commander Addison MacKenzie, Captain Nic del Vedova, and Commodore Aron Kells.

MacKenzie: Response

del Vedova: Response

Kells: Response

Blake: Response

Roshanara and Rivi walked over to Wil.

Rahman: As much as I'd like to protest, the Ambassador is correct that she is your commanding officer now, so the honor is hers. Still... ::looking over at Rivi and nodding:: ...I must thank her for allowing me to take some part in the occasion.

Rivi looked back apologetically at Wil, shrugging.

Vataix: Oh, I'm so sorry I was so mean to you, Wil! Captain Rahman said you'd understand and that it was... "your thing." ::looking back at Roshanara:: Something like that? ::looks back at Wil:: It was okay?

Ukinix: Response

Rivi's frown then changed slightly upward.

Vataix: So you didn't suspect? I knew from the beginning! Blake and I *conspired* to get you "kidnapped."

She looked back over at her cousin and winked.

Blake: Response

Ukinix: Response

Vataix: Anyway, now that we're back on Amity, we can do the rest of this a little more my style... which as I'm sure you can guess, involves a party!

The ambassador turned around to address the crowd of Wil's colleagues both current and former.

Vataix: Distinguished colleagues and honored friends, as you know, we have completed our first year of Amity Outpost's operation.

She paused and there was some applause.

Vataix: Running this station requires so many talented and dedicated people, and today, we honor one individual in particular: Wil Ukinix, Son of... ::She paused for a moment, not sure if it was appropriate to name the Ninth House since they wouldn't hear back from Keehani for a while and calling him out as a forsaken son seemed inappropriate:: ...Fremantle.

She looked over at Wil and extended an arm towards him.

Vataix: Starfleet Command has approved your promotion to the rank of Commander.

Roshanara stepped up with a box, opening it and giving one of the three pips to a guest who had come all the way from the Alpha or Beta Quadrant to be at this special occasion. One to Mackenzie, one to Del Vedova, and one to Blake. One by one, they approached Wil and awarded him a pip.

MacKenzie: Response

Ukinix: Response

Del Vedova: Response

Ukinix: Response

Blake: Response

Ukinix: Response

Vataix: All right, there we go! Congratulations, *Commander* Ukinix!

Anyone: Response

Ukinix: Response

After the crowd settled a bit, Rivi looked back to the guests as some old Earth dance music began piping through.

Vataix: Let's have a good time, everyone!

Ukinix: Response

Anyone: Response

Carter/S'Raga/Reade/Richards: Response

Iovianus/Iko/Hopper/Wong: Response
