I noticed someone had problems with surround sound beign muffled on center
(couldn't find the post). There's a fix on Asus site for this:

Description
Due to different 5.1 channel speakers may have different deifnitions of
Center and Bass outputs, , when playing 5.1 channel music or media, Center
speaker may have muffled sounds. This NVSWAP utility allows you to swap
Center and Bass speaker manually if your speakers experience muffled sounds.
(Note that DirectX 8.1 is needed to enable this utility)
