In chart wizard with the "Custom Types" tab and User-defined buttons
selected I see a whole list of charts of my own creation. Problem is I need
to export them to another computer with the Excel spreadsheet that needs
'em.

I've re-worded my earlier query in the interests of clarity. I hope this is
allowed. I'm still struggling with this one and desperate for some help. Any
offers ?

Thanks, as always, in advance.

Glen.

Glen -

As John Walkenbach responded:

"The XLUSRGAL.XLS file does not exist unless the user has created at least
one user-defined chart type. You should be able to simply copy your
XLUSRGAL.XLS file to the appropriate location on the other system."

You could email this file with your workbook, with instructions for the
recipient to save the XLUSRGAL in a certain directory.

Assuming the existence of a number of User-defined charts (which appears to
be the case in the worksheet as previously described) when I serach for the
XLUSRGAL.XLS file it appears to be missing.

Is there something really simple / obvious I am missing ? Sorry, but I'm
still stuck ?

Glen.

On my system, it's here:

C:\Documents and Settings\xxxx\Application Data\Microsoft\Excel

Where "xxxx" is my logon name.

When you search, make sure that you include hidden folders. I think the
Application Data folder is normally hidden.
