Folks, THIS IS A HOAX! IT IS IMPOSSIBLE (I REPEAT) IMPOSSIBLE
to transfer a virus via ascii txt/email that will erase your hard
drive. Especially just by reading it! Think about it for a second...
if that were true....with all the ppl on the internet (far more than
on AOL) dont you think it would be a constant problem? In order for
a hard drive to be formatted , an executible file has to exist(i.e.
a so called virus) to issue machine code to give your computer the
instruction to format the drive. You can try this out. start trying to
execute all the email you receive from various lists. I assure you not
one, not even single file will execute. Email is in ascii text.
For a file to issue machine executable code to format your hard drive
it would have to be in binary code(totally unreadable to humans).
In that case you'd probably dump the file anyway.

The most ridiculous thing about the above forward is that you are
instructed to not even read it!

Oh well.......

AOL is a virus so you have nothing to worry about, LOL. I remember the good ol' days when AOL was $6.00 an hour to use. How times have changed. I remember going into the server rooms and doing the flash sessions. I remember the sound that dial up used to make when it connected to the internet. Memories. I'm so old.
