how to turn off margin markers

in Word 2002 When ever I view a document in Print Layout
there are gray lines at the margins in each corner of the
page. how might one turn this off.

If you go Tools>Options then the View tab .... under "Print and Web Layout"
there is a 'Text Boundaries' option just switch it off.

If you're seeing just the "crop marks" and not any other "text boundaries,"
then the problem is that you have (probably inadvertently) installed support
for an Asian language. Go to Start | Programs | Microsoft Office Tools |
Microsoft Office XP Language Settings and disable the language.
