Dear Newsgroup Members,

A few days ago, we received one anonymous complaint about
"degreeinfo.com". We normally do NOT reply to a single anonymous
complaint - assuming it is not a consensus opinion. Several days
later we received more anonymous complaints, apparently from the same
person, as well as several threats. Despite the threats, we responded
with requests for headers, links to evidence of abuse, etc.

Just today our firm came under a malicious, libelous assault,
seemingly as a result of some sort of strange entanglement with this
newsgroup.

ZoneEdit.com is a DNS (domain name system) company. Rather that spend
cash on marketing, we provide free services for thousands of websites
many charity/freeware sites, personal sites, etc. We are a reputable
firm. We spend hours every day fighting spam, and we are a founding
member of the www.dnsbl.org, a site dedicated to stopping Internet
abuse.

This message is addressed to the anonymous person that is now
attempting to damage our company, and is personally attempting to ruin
the livelihoods of our employees and their families:

- ZoneEdit currently provides domain name service for degreeinfo.com.

- If one or more people feel that this site is violating our
policies, please provide clear proof (emails sent to you, newsgroup
postings, etc.), with full headers. We may not respond well to
threats, but we will respond to clear evidence of abuse!

- We don't respond to anonymous, unverifiable complaints that contain
no supporting info. Please send any abuse complaints to
ab...@zoneedit.com. You may not get a reply to every complaint,
however rest assured we take them seriously! If you have a court
order or a subpoena, etc., you max fax or mail to our office.

We are an innocent party caught in the crossfire of your war. Please
don't take out your aggressions on us. If you deal with our firm in
an equitable and professional manner, we will do the same.

- ZoneEdit Abuse Dept.
