I am interested in having a little program that would Auto-size a
window to a pre-defined size. How would this be useful? Well, I
leave my system set to 1280 x 1024, but my friends hate the way
my beautiful framed HTML pages never quite show up right in the
computer labs at 640 x 480, much less on their systems set to
800 x 600! If I could instantly right-click on the corner of my
Netscape window and have a little pop-up menu that would let me
pick various resolutions, it would be much easier to check
several different pages at several different (virtual)
resolutions.
If anyone would be willing to help, please reply to my email
address (fire...@f.imap.itd.umich.edu) and let me know.
This would probably make for a nice, simple, marketable shareware
program (albeit a $5 one). All I ask is that I get a copy (After
all, it was my idea), nothing more. I do have a small FTP site
available (although if it works it would probably be suitable for
TUCOWS or Windows95.com, etc.) and access to make a web page for
the software.
Thanx,

Thank you to all who have responded, however I have been mailed a
small program which performs what I wanted.
Just to clear it up anyhow, I did not want something that would
actually change my resolution (QuickRes or the tools that came
with my video board would do that on the fly), I wanted somethign
that would resize windows to a given size. Why? Simple- So I
could see the Netscape window and also see my text editor to play
with my HTML Documents and test them as I go.
Again, thank oyu to all who've replied,

First rule of software development; Never reinvent the
wheel.
Microsoft already wrote this. Go to microsoft.com and look
for powertools. I use mine to develop screens in visual
basic.

To quote Bruce Williams, "Ideas are worth about 21/2 cents a
gross, maybe." This program you are asking for is far from
trivial.
