Remember How I said silence is the best policy? This also applies when
your in deep shee (I'll leave it up to you to determine how to interpret
this). Furthermore, I believe you are lying!

I don't see how AOL could "shut down" an NG. They can stop carrying a NG* and
send out a "rmgroup" message, but otherwise they don't have any authority in
the matter. Other servers may respect that request from AOL, but many others
will just think "AOh*lL" and forget it. Also, someone would probably send out
another cmsg to re-create the group on services with auto-responds. Overall,
I doubt AGC is in any real trouble. As someone once said: "Old newsgroups
don't die, they just fade away."

*By all means, it would mean we'd never have to hear from you in a long time.

My patience, my all means, has been completely exhausted (LONG after
everyone else's has) so I'll add you to my filters with a final piece of
advice: BE QUIET for awhile. Because I am a forgiving person I will delete
the filter sometime in the future, as I would advise everyone to do; simply
because people can/do change. I sincerely hope you eventually realize that
respect is something that must be earned, and that it's not what you say, it's
how you say it. Goodbye.

Heh.. this seems to remind me of people that come into chat asking for
all of our "screen names". Some people seem to think that AOL is the
Internet, and they have power over all. Sorry to ruin your fantasy,
JNCOBOY86, but AOL has exactly 0% power of this newsgroup. Hundreds,
maybe thousands of people, all over the world, read this newsgroup.
Hence, hundreds, most likely thousands, of ISPs carry this newsgroup.
Now, I'm very sure if AOL did have power over this NG, as to remove it,
they would most likely remove one small problem (a user causing
trouble), rather then get thousands of people very, very angry.

FYI, AOL cannot shut down alt.games.creatures because of complaints
about you. This newsgroup exists at thousands of ISPs around the

Aol can't shut down an NG (they can only stop carrying it - which is
extremely unlikely to happen in this case - they are more likely to prevent
you from accessing NGs)

2)

>a naven, and also other navenish posts. Thats why, if you have something to
say
>that is not based on Creatures, except this one, email the person(s)
directly.

Well, Off topic talk is permitted here. Its an NG for the entire community
which would get extremely uninteresting if it was purely for asking and
answering questions about how to use the game. Off topic talk normally
spurs from one of the on topic subjects.

If you have something intended for an individual, email it to the
individual. if you have something to say to the individual that is also
intended for others to read, then it is generally acceptable to post it to
the ng.

3)

>And for all of the other name-callers (hinting out names, not mentioning)

Sure. But, if something terrible is happening in your life, it would be far
more sensible for you to explain, remain silent or whatever - but remain as
calm as possible and do not irritate others.

We all have problems. My gran was taken back into hospital last night with
bad breathing difficulties. Yet, if somebody was to irritate me right now
by, lets just say as an example, not having the Alien pack done then I'd
explain the lack of time, the cmputer crash and the situation. this is what
I did before. People were (very) supportive and understanding as many of us
are in similar positions.

If you have a problem and feel the urge to spam the group, then you have a
serious netique problem and should pay more attention to the FAQs about
netique in agc. You do not get sympathy for behaving in an unreasonable
manner.

4)

> No, i am not
>a naven, i can be a little annoying and sensitive

Ah, well you see - that's not the impression you've given us. Stand back
and look at what you've done.... There's a full report on my site. Then
tell us again that you are sensitive..... These posts are pointing the
finger towards the 'senseless' word of the English language.

If you want a second chance, then - hey - you can earn it :) - we'd all like
you to fit in. but stop making up excuses that don't even vaguely relate to
the situation in hand.

Happy birthday

ok??? I believe JNCOBOY68 you are thinking of the message boards on AOL.
Most things "on" AOL don't exist on the "internet". Their downloads,
chatrooms, message boards reside on their servers and are accessed only by
AOL members. The only times you are on the "internet" (hence AOL does not
have control) are when you are using a browser and connecting to another site
http:// or newsgroups etc. That would be like saying if AOL didn't like my
homepage at reed.edu they could delete it.

I wouldn't honestly consider that last post of mine a flame, but I guess
that's subjective. I basically consider it a bit of warning: other people
here aren't as patient as me, other newsgroups aren't as patient as this one,
and you've just been put in my 6-month delete message filter. You do the
math.
To continue to make illogical and ridiculous threats is, well, exactly that:
ridiculous. Furthermore, anyone who bothered to read the "Petz" thread knows
I'm currently researching alt newsgroups and various things about them, and
would catch a mistake like that. It wasn't so much even the post that annoyed
me: it was the (near impossible) threat coupled with a total unwillingness to
listen to listen to me or anyone else. I still have hopes that JNCOBOY will
get better, but I'm also not holding my breath.

I, however, do understand. Thanks to Dora's expert and rather vague
enlightenment, and the progressive nature of English education, the reason
(one reason) for Emy's continued ire is known to me. I'd just like to say,
I'm sorry. I'm sorry, dang it! What do you want from me, blood? Oh? Really?
