BlizzardPPC BIG problem

I have a big problem with my blizzard PPC and want to know if anybody has
experienced the same problem.
This is the problem:
Sometimes (it happened 3 times now) my amiga won't recognize the entire
blizzard card as i switch the computer on (also not after a warm boot): no
ppc, no fastram, no bvision, no scsi and no 040. It turns out that this
problem was caused by the flashrom being corrupted. The first 2 times i
could fix it by just reflashing the rom.
The last time (last saturday) i had no such luck. When i tried to reflash
it, the following message came up:
MFB error: sector 0 protected
Oops! You're in deep trouble now !
Close all doors and wait for the end of the world or rerun the program.
When i tried to flash for the second time the whole board was not found
!!!!! Phase5 doesn't have a sense for humor. However i tried an old flashrom
(v1.3) and that one did reflash the rom but it configured it as a 160mhz,
and not as a 200mhz !!!!!!!
Luckily it works again but no longer as 200mhz but as 160mhz. sysspeed
rating dropped from 400 mips to 254, ppctool says it is a 603p (p !)@200 all
in all it sucks.
Does anybody knows what causes this and how can i get back to the 200mhz i
paid my money for ? (i tried FORCE 200MHZ, which isn't explained in the
docs).

To be honest, I would simply give Phase5 hell for leather and get them to send
you a new board - you didn't pay for their inability to provide you with a
functioning PPC expansion, you paid for what they said they would deliver - a
useable device.
Unless, of course, you have done anything you shouldn't have and which amounts
to "incorrect useage"...
Hope your board isn't roo old - have you registered it??? Do so and then jump.
