Come on Bill, even you have to admit he is a complete screw-up. He just
rode the *coat-tails* of others into office. He did not even have the
majority in the last election. If he did not viciously slime Riordian, he
would not even be governor. But he did enter the Republican race to
maliciously attack someone who was not even his opponent. He KNEW Riordian
would kick his ass. He is a complete DICKHEAD. An Idiot that DESERVES to
be recalled.

"sliming" Riordian has nothing to do with it unless you think
Republicans are inordinately stupid -- it was the Republican's primary
and it was no secret that Davis's side was running ads against
Riordian (which Davis BTW claimed was in response to Rioridan
attacking Davis.) Davis did not enter the Republican race as you
claim either: to do that he'd have had to register as a Republican.

He may be lackluster, but the voters knew that in advance and picked
him. He is not a complete screw-up, however. The energy problems
were due to criminal acts with de facto White House support, and the
budget mess is due in part to a weak economy, and also to Republicans
being able to veto a budget or tax increase due to the 2/3 vote
requirement. In typical fashion, they stop anything from happening
and then blame the Democrats for not getting anywhere when the
Republicans are preenting it.

It is not Davis's fault that during his first term, the Republicans
put up a guy who had wasted state funds on medical "experiments" on
rats to try to justify his pro-gas-chamber position - he thought
lethal injection was for wimps or something - and then he acted like he
was running for sherrif rather than governor at a time when crime
rates were falling. Simon, meanwhile, ran the most inept campaign in
recent history.

If Davis is an "idiot," the Republicans are so dumb as to be off the
scale.

There you go again. What is good for the goose AINT good for the gander.

Can't you stay on topic. I thought we were talking California Governor!?!
You bring up the President.

Davis slimed [why would his own party member tell him to cool it on his
slime style of campaining?] Riordian because Davis know he would FALL
(climbing related) to Riordian. He made many unsubstantiated claims. He
attacked. Google it up if your *party blind*. Sure, plenty of Republiican
fools fell for it. But I aint a Republican or a fool. Many Republicans are
middle of the road and Davis knows this and Davis viciously slammed what
would have been an awesome Gonernor for California. A candidate that could
easily have pulled the majority of votes, Unlike Davis.

And now to your Florida jab. Bush had no funny business going on in
Florida. It seems the Democrats were the funny ones. They could not even
read their ballot. They could not even *understand* the rules. And then
there was the Democrat media guru telling the nation on national TV that
GORE HAS WON! Only to have to eat his words laters, but after the damage
had been done.

The whole system sucks Bill Zaumen. You fucking democrats suck as well the
Republifucks suck. Just because you label me a *right wing lunatic* does
not make me a Republican. Just because I am conservative does not mean I
can't think beyond the Repulicans. All you do Bill Zaumen is SLAM the
Republicans, but what you are so BLIND to is that your fucking democrats are
just the same. Slick Willy made many pretty pennies renting out the Lincoln
room. To the same people that you say Bush is in bed with. Scum is
bipartisan. Blood money is bipartisan.

Think outside the box Bill Zaumen. We all need to for the good of everyone.
I don't care if you oppose everything that I stand for, I would at least
finally respect you if you too were not already BOUGHT AND SOLD!!! Third
parties are our only hope. Independent, Libertarian, even my rival the
Green Party and many others are our only hope for us to ascend(climbing
related) out of our downward spiral.

The facts are that there was no cheating in the last California
election, or other irregularities that could have changed the outcome.
Unlike Florida. Pretending otherwise is simply an attempt to rewrite
history.

You mean like the thousands of people who were denied there right to
vote because their last names matched some felons (with most of them
being black voters?) Or illegal ballots? Or continuous attempts to
prevent a recount on the part of the Republicans?

Come off it. It was a rigged election. It was so obvious that a
friend who was visiting Zimbabwe during the fiasco told me how they
were talking about sending election observers to Florida!

Davis lied! If you do not call that cheating then you got your head shoved

Most? Shit Bill, then explain why it does not matter when it is the
conservative white voter that is denied. There IS a problem. But to blame
it on Bush and some far reaching conspiracy is what makes you TYPICAL! The
WHOLE FUCKING SYSTEM SUCKS! And you Bill Zaumen ALWAYS blame the other

Again, the system sucks. Ballots are up for review before they go out. Why
did you not complain then? Oh I get it, You want to put each ballot under
the magnifying glass because those poor people couldn't read them correctly,
let alone punch them correctly. Then when there is no mark, you want to
decide the intent. Yer a riot buddy.

You are a left wing lunatic Democrat and you are a part of the problem.

Lying is not illegal, but in any case do you think that Simon didn't
lie repeatedly? Go back to last summer and read the flap about the
questionaire he filled out that pissed off some right wing dude, where
he finally blamed a flunky with an autopen after putting out a
different story each day of the week.

The facts are the election was not rigged in California: the votes
were counted fairly and voters were not turned away from the polls
without being given a chance to vote.

It's a problem when a legitimate voter is not allowed to vote, and
most of the voters in this situation in Florida were black voters,
which is what I stated.

Dude, you are a complete and utter idiot: how the hell would I

Cool. But I didn't like the fact that it was a wild card fringe play taken
over by the republican establishment machine when they saw their opening.

That's why I like the fact that Arnold can actually usurp the election. He
doesn't answer to the power structure of either party. He's a wild card in
the classic California sense... perhaps Ronald Reagan great, or Jerry Brown
shooting star, only time will tell.

But this whole thing arose out of a corporate power play and actually has a
chance of turning into a populist movement. I think that is great. And for
better or worse, the populist movements of our past have ushered in change.

Embrace change! Throw off your conservative shackles and walk with the
people of California. We're from no where and every where, with damn few of
us actually from here. But we love this place anyway and damnit, we're gonna
pick a new governor, unless Davis falls on his sword and resigns first. If
he does, that will be the biggest flat tire in the history of politics (as
you hear the air rushing out of the election hype). Would they even LET HIM
resign at this point?

Why don't you simply crawl back under a rock.

All you've been doing is posting one abusive message after another,
all because you can't stand that fact that your beloved political
party put up a candidate for governor who ran the most inept campaign
in recent history. You can't blame Davis for that, and whether you
like it or not, he really did win the last election: it didn't take a
court order to appoint a candidate by condoning his brother's
stonewalling, as happened in the last presidential election.

Oh, and Davis didn't "cheat." There was no funny business with
voter registration or anything else like that. His advertising
was no worse than his opponent's and neither of them put out
falsified documents attributed to an opponent. It is not Davis's
fault that Simon shot himself in the foot repeatedly.

Bill Zaumen, WE WERE ALL LOSERS once your DAVIS slimed his way into office.
But with your PARTISAN PARTY GOGGLES ON you can not see that what I am
advocating IS NOT voting a Party Line Republican into
office. What I am advocating is that WE ALL have a chance to now get a
third party

Read Bill Zaumen, Read! You will find again that I am not a Republican.
God damn, you are so dense. I am a Libertarian and we DID NOT
put up a inept campain, shit, we can not even compete against the blood
monies
of your beloved criminal democrats and hated republicans. We did not lie
like Davis.
We did not slime like Davis. What was your point?

I aint no fucking republican. The government should not be telling people
they can't get
high or can't have an abortion! At the same time my tax money should not go
up because
the Governor is lame. I should not pay taxes if I have to also pay extra to
use the things that my taxes are
suppose to support! My land should not be closed, it should be protected
FOR the public.

Is it evil to be happy that the Sore Loserman team
failed? Is it evil to be happier with the current administration than with
the past
administration? Is it evil to have to fork over MUCH less taxes due to
the current admin?

Is it evil that MY LIFE IS BETTER NOW THAN
IT WAS WHEN SLICK WILLY RAN ON THIS IDEA (and fooled me into voting for
him)?

Is it a crime to be conservative Bill? Or is diversity only good when your
a democrat?

I made two gym trips, plus a midweek trip to Tuoulumne a week or so ago.
Any outside climbing, other than on buildings, is not really accessible
midweek after work due to heavy traffic.

I merely said he won the election fairly - with no election fraud or
underhanded tricks such as falsifying documents from his oponents. He
certainly didn't spend any effort putting down the libertarian
candidate, and he hardly had to really go after Simon given how Simon
was shooting himself in the foot repeatedly.

I don't think he should be removed from office, but I'd say the same
thing about a lawfully elected Republican whose policies I disagreed
with, as long as the guy was not doing something illegal or showing
signs of insanity.

What on earth are you talking about? You are simply babbling. If he
lied, he certainly didn't fool me. In fact, I don't remember seeing
much from anyone in the way of campaigning, since I don't watch TV.
If you don't want to see silly ads, you should shut it off as well.

It's from the low-budget movie "Being Bill Zaumoron" where an idiot keeps
posting off topic political bullshit on a climbing newsgroup. There's a scene
in the McDonalds where Bill works - everyone's gorging themselves on French
fries while Bill keeps showing them how his name tag looks in a mirror.

Yeahhhhhh? And so......... you call yourself a gym climber or rock climber?

2 gym trips? Sorry Bill but that does not count, unless of course you are a
gym climber and that explains your mental deficiancy. Thank god the weekend
is over and I can hit up Tahquitz without the crowds. Otherwise I'd have to
stay at home and continue fishing for Bills! Actually, I just got back from
Tahquitz and I will go tomorrow. On Wednesday I will go to Josh for some
late afternoon climbing (yeah I know it will be hot, but I will climb more
than you all last week). Then on Thursday I am heading to my home up in the
High Sierra for a little cragging on some nice big peaks.

What are you Bill Zaumen, 50 years old? 60? If that is the case anger
management class won't work for you. It is too late.

What do you think we were doing in Tuolumne? You act like you've never
heard of it. Or do you object to us getting some practice in during the
week, just for conditioning? Or do you have some other deep emotional
problem, which would not surprise me?

And only an old man like you would think embarassment would have anything to

There is one sweeping, condescending, and annoying statement that
always makes me want to run amok: "I don't own a TV...."

The insinuation that an individual who watches television is a lesser
intellectual (heaven help us all!) than the pseudo intellectual
(Zaumen) is plain ignorant. A newspaper couldn't impose the same
influence as Mr. Brokaw on the screen?

Also, Bill, the fact that Brokaw is a climber is a) something we all
know and are only marginally impressed with and b) completely
irrelevant!

It is true, and quite frankly I don't give a damn if you like it
or not. I was commenting on the poster's idiotic statement -- that
I was influenced by some TV program that it turns out I never watch.

The reason I don't watch it is that there is too much advertising,
more than what I'll tolerate, particularly loud, obnoxious advertising
with gratuitous flashes put I presume to wake people up. It just
gives me a headache, so I avoid it. The "insinuation" you made up is a
figment of your imagination.

Bill Z., if you are really sincerical, then forgive me, Chico Potrero, for
presuming you insinuate other's intellectual inferiority, but the frequency
with which you post messages that "seem" to do that led me to that
presumptivation. The TV comments are one example. I believe Ms. "Darling"
Gnarlings comments are a compelling and able demonstration that I am not the
only one to share this perceptication.

Another recent post that seems to do that is when you asked: "What is it
like to get a virus, I don't do Windows?". Am I, Chico Potrero, so jaded
that such a question only "seems" disengenuousist? Do you really not
understand what it is like to have a virus? You see, if we accept your
question at face value, then how could we see you as anything but a feckless
moron who knows but little?

The alternative, then, is that you are you not feckless, but evil? Were you
in fact trying to take glee in others hardshipness and loss of time and
money? And at the same time attempting to assert your own superioriting by
using a OS that hasn't been the target of malicious attacks (yet)?

Open your heart, Bill Z. Tell us, make it public, expose your dark side.
Do you take pleasure in other's pain? Do you like to thrust proof of your
superiority upon us? We already know the obvious, now you must answer to
yourself.

Can you do it now, or must we dig through the archives to find more
examples?

There is a more graceful option. Let me, Chico Potrero (A serious climber)
suggest: Take the poison pill. Disappear for a few months. Come back as a
n00b beginner with rope marking questions and a new nym. Take yoga and TM
and come back as an innocent, let yourself get trolled. It will be a fresh
lease on life. Or perhaps, after time away, peace and harmony may descend
to bring lightness to your heart, and you will even leave forever and find a
new life without need to abuse and be abused.

Fashionably yours,

Chico Potrero

I've never made any statements insinuating others' intellectual inferiority
in general, and if I've suggested that others on this group are lacking,
it is only after some level of abuse.

Well, it's true. I've never had to deal with a virus on any computer
I've used, mostly due to the choice of the OS and the software I use.
If you don't want to deal with viruses, there's a simply solution.

What the hell difference does it make how old Jeff is or how old you
are for that matter? Being mean spirited or foolish isn't age
dependent. If you are a moron you ain't going to outgrow that
particular condition. If you are a fool, you'll always be a fool.
Except it is bad enough to be a fool, but being an old fool is worse,
I guess.
