Thanks for your quick reply! I shall ignore the device,
thanks. As i am ignoring this device it is leaving me
with another problem, as i thought this device was the
source of it. When I attempt to boot from the CD which i
have made using hd2iso.exe, then it brings up the
embedded splash screen and then goes to a Blue screen
with the error:
STOP: 0x0000007B (0xF8951640, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000,
0x00000000)
Then it will not go any further, i think that i am
performing the build correctly (Adding the el torito
files and the EWF files, then building image, and using
hd2iso.exe to make an image, then onto CD)....
If you could help me i would be grateful....
Thanks
PS Also, i'm using TAP, which picks up 80 devices, don't
know if this is of any help?

Have you tried booting this image without using HS2ISO? You want to
make sure the image boots properly first, otherwise we don't know where
to start looking for the source of the error.

Just a few questions on what you have said, No i havent
checked if it boots without using hd2iso.exe. This might
sound like a stupid question, but how do i boot without
making an ISO and putting it on CD???
Hope you can clear this up for me...
Cheers

I was wondering if you had booted this image successfully from a hard
drive, but it looks like everything worked OK until it got onto the CD-ROM,
correct?
Thanks

Creating an El Torito bootable XPE CD-ROM can be tricky - can you tell me
what steps you followed to get the image onto the CD-ROM?
Then i tried another approach, actually running FBA from
the built image on the pc, and then making in iso from
that image (post FBA), again using hd2iso.exe, and buring
to CD using a commercial application (nero)...
That is how i made the bootable cd's that haven't worked,
i have tried many times, any help would be appreciated!
Thanks

There is complete documentation on creating a bootable El Torito XPE CD-
ROM in the System Design Guide, located at
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-
us/xpehelp/htm/xeconElToritoDesignConsiderations.asp?frame=true. The
critical part of the process is in the "Running FBA and Validating the
Status of EWF" section - you have to ensure that you insert the CD-ROM
in the system while booting from the HD partition, or your CD will not
boot properly.
I can't vouch for Nero and whether it's ISO-9660 compliant or not - you
might want to verify that.
