<> REVIEWS - http://www.entermedia.net/Reviews/ <>

JEDI KNIGHT: DARK FORCES II
Use the Force, Luke! Or should we say Kyle? Yes, Kyle Katarn is
back in the sequel to Dark Forces, this time avenging the death
of his father and taking out the evil Dark Jedi, Jerec. Even with all
sorts of improvements over the original--including multiplayer
support--does DFII surpass its predecessor?

MAGESLAYER
Top-down action games, when done right, are completely fun
and can awe the average gamer with their tremendous visuals.
Then of course they can also be a complete let-down in almost
every department and not worth your time or your money.
Where does Mageslayer fall? Read our review and find out!

TERRACIDE
Eidos Interactive has been touting their new action game
Terracide since before E3 97. With features like 3D accelerator
enhancements and what was said to be the 'Descent killer', one
would think the final product to be a resounding success. But
we found out the disappointing truth and give it to you right
here!

GREAT BATTLES OF ALEXANDER
Interactive Magic doesn't pull any fancy tricks with Alexander.
This war game isn't anything close to what gamers had hoped
for, and our own Dean O'Donnell gives his thoughts on how this
game could have been great, but how it failed to deliver for the
expectant wargamer.

QuestGate
http://www.questgate.com
Info Avenue Internet Services presents their QuestGate gaming division,
an online network of Web sites set up primarily for online gaming and
news, you can get all kinds of terrific info here. From a thorough
listing of QuakeWorld servers to hosted pages featuring games, cheat
codes and more, QuestGate is a wonderful starting point for your
online gaming needs!

From the lamers who gave UO a 5/5 review, and stole their webpage
directly from a competitor.

Entermedia is THE gaming joke of the web.

But CB, you've got it all wrong. Entermedia is not for gamers, it's for
advertisers. They don't have time to actually play the games, so they have
to rely on what the advertisers tell them. Origin told them that UOL
deserved their highest score, so it's Origin's fault.

The funniest thing is that Origin isn't even advertising on their web site.
They need to kiss more ass before Lord British gives them any money. I
guess Eric should have given the game a 12 instead of a 10.

Who needs PC Gamer when we've got Entermedia............

Note:

The above post I wrote was unprofessional and in poor taste. Back in
the heyday, I used to post quite frequently, and made sure to keep
some thoughts of mine in reserve in the name of professionalism in the
field. Then, well, I received some disturbing and slanderous
postings/mail, and slowed down my posting rate to these gaming NGs and
posted in more forums where my work wasn't involved, so I said
whatever the hell I wanted. When I posted this, I was in "speak all"
mode, and that was completely inappropriate. I shoulda raise my
issues, whatever they may be, in private (which I have done in the
past), rather than in public. I'll honestly say, it was temporary
stupidity on my part.

I'll still go back to posting, but I'll think more and be professional
in the future, rather than just write whatever the hell occurs in my
mind. It's common courtesy in the field. So, um, just delete what I
wrote, and forget that I said it.

Heh, heh. Did they threaten to sue you also? Don't answer that, I don't
want you to get in trouble :) It's interesting how people react to
criticism. Most industry professionals will discuss problems with
customers but the people at Entermedia seem to prefer to use threats of
legal action to try to muzzle their detractors. I guess I'll have to be
the one to show them that threats don't work. I also find it interesting
that they don't think the newsgroups are worthwhile until someone slams one
of their reviews, then they call the criticism "slander". All of the
sudden newsgroups are important to them.

Anyway, the opinions I express are my own and in no way, shape or form
reflect those of anyone else (so don't sue anyone else for anything I say,
Eric, Scott and Martin).

Personally, I found it rather refreshing. Besides, you didn't write
anything libelous, unless sarcasm has suddenly become synonymous with
libel.

What is "unprofessional and in poor taste" are what passes for reviews
at Entermedia these days.

Too late. It's now at DejaNews for all of posterity to read. :>
