American Nortel Communications Inc. announces: major contract

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 17, 1996--American Nortel
Communications Inc. (ARTM) announced
that it has entered into an agreement with Jones Boys Sales Promotions
Inc. to market long distance telephone service.

Jones Boys Sales Promotions Inc. has been an established marketer of
newspaper subscriptions and long distance services
from coast to coast. Jones Boys has been effectively marketing since
1946, which makes them one of the most respected
marketing companies in the business.

Jones Boys will use their six telemarketing centers to market long
distance customers for American Nortel and have projections
of over 10,000 new long distance customers EACH WEEK. Mickey Gross,
president of Jones Boys, said: "I am very excited
about our agreement with ANC. We are confident that our marketing
efforts will benefit both companies."

Bill Williams, chief executive officer of American Nortel Communications
Inc. expressed the importance of this marketing
agreement. He stated, "With an average long distance monthly charge of
$20.00 per customer and a very profitable gross
margin, this represents a significant contract for American Nortel
Communications Inc."

American Nortel Communications Inc. would further like to announce the
addition of John Harris as director of Retail Sales.
Harris comes to American Nortel Communications Inc. with over 13 years
of telecommunications background.

Harris stated: "I am extremely excited about the opportunity we have
with the Jones Boys. I have worked with the Jones Boys
in the past and know that they are a company that performs as they say
they can!"
