recently a strange thing happens on my PC. Everytime Windows Media
Player opens, my system freezes. Reinstalling media player doesn't
help.
Anyone tips?

I have just located the source of my Media Player freezes to SurfinGuard
Pro, which was loading a program called hooksys.exe on startup.
Follow the steps in
http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/q192/9/26.asp but
personally I would start with the startup programs first rather than win.ini
and system.ini . It'll take an hour or 2 to locate the program causing
the problem (if you're lucky). Remember, you must reboot each time you
make an alteration and especially after it has crashed.
I take it you manage to close media player by pressing ctrl-alt-del and then
you can reboot normally?
Let us know what you find.
