Sounds like you'd be interested in Tho's CNC pen knife carved balsa bike--

Try a tandem - it's totally different! (It was riding a tandem that got me
back into riding my single again, as a training exercise to be a faster
tandem rider.)

In the latest Road Bike Action, there is an article about the
IBIS Scorcher. It is a fixed gear bike, with 26 inch wheels, and
handlebars in the shape of a U! It looks pretty cool, and it comes
with a Brooks Saddle.

Buy the "Encyclopedia 1994/95" and have a look at how many "different"
bikes there are. For your purpose, a "Pedersen" might be quite nice,
if you don't need gears (and only wimps need gears in a flat place
like NY).

LOL...... now theres an idea, a unicycle in the dirt, or... Once saw
a thing called a 'skate bike'. Had a 26" wheel in back, and a skate
wheel just in front of the bottom bracket, and no handle bars, but a
brake with the lever just under the nose of the seat.
For totally 'awesome' though, how bout a Cinelli Laser. Not sure if
they still make them, but back in about '85 or so, they were going for
about $6k.... Or whatever...

Oh, sometimes I wish I was in the States where so much of the
'International' Unicycling Association activity is. But what the hell,
I've still got enough unicycling friends round here to play hockey with.

Sure! Sounds like you're in the mood to spend some money, so check around
for a good framebuilder who will build you a one-off custom frame, sized
to your very own personal body, designed for your own personal riding
style, equipped with whatever fribbles and gazornises your gadget-happy
heart may desire, and painted to express your innermost soul. Go for it!

How about a high-wheeler, also known as a penny-farthing? THAT'll turn
heads!
Or, even better, a RECUMBENT!!!

but then have you ever seen a tandem uni-cycle ? Average number of wheels per
rider seems pretty good on a duo, better on a triplet, and a aren't Sanatana
producing a quad ? 1/2 a wheel per person, now that *is* economy

Hey, this is the land of the "world series" you know :-)

It looks a bitch to ride, but I'd love to give it a go. It matches the
quad on wheel economy, and wins on frame wastage. :-)
Recumbent unicycle?
High-wheeler unicycle?
Tandem high-wheeler?
