Both TaxCut 2000 and TurboTax 2000 are 32 bit only. Does anyone know of
tax software which will run on Win 3.11?

I also would like to find tax software for Win 3.1/3.11.

I have ordered the Am-Tax software (personal edition). It runs in DOS but is
not as cheap as TaxCut/TurboTax. You can get details at

http://www.amtax.com/

It seems you will pay more for DOS or Win3.x versions this year since
most software makers are using Win95 as the minimum req. If you do a
search of TAX SOFTWARE DOS at google.com you will find a few selections
including AmTax. Another alternative is the TurboTax for the Web from
Quicken. It will be available in a couple of weeks and is internet
based, so as long as you have a valid secure browser you will not need
to worry about min. OS req. According to Quicken, over 1 million filed
with TurboTax for the Web last year.

Will, and others,
My recommendation is to eliminate the need for tax software by
recognizing that no American living and working in the U.S.A. is liable for
federal income taxes, and thus we don't need to file or pay anything. Save
time and money - don't pay! I haven't paid/filed in years, with no damages
and no regrets. You can see the whole story and how you can become a
nontaxpayer on my Web site: members.quicksurfer.com/arthurf
