In tFoH, Elayne dreamed about bonding Rand as one of her Warders. Could
bonding Rand as a Warder protect him from going mad? (just like being
bonded to the DO protects male Forsaken from going mad)

Interesting! Very, very interesting. Bonding kept Birgite alive. At the
very least, it should keep Rand alive longer. There might be a rule
against bonding a male AS, though. I don't think that the Forsaken are
technically bonded to the DO. It's a different connection. More like
slavery.

No, the taint is the work of the DO. The DO either removes the taint
through the bond or the bond is a closer to the DO and overpowers the
taint. If Elyane bonds Rand the only protection she could him is to
compell Rand not to channel through the bond, not much else. Personally,
I hope that Rand "sets her on her rear for trying."

Remember, it won't just be Elayne trying to bond him, but
Aviendha also. I wonder if two Aes Sedai can share a Warder? I know in
real life it can be done (I have a Brown and a Blue leading me around by
the nose), but what about in Randland?

(Braces for immense amounts of balefire headed his way)

Actually, thinking about it, it would probably be very useful.
Nynaeve could bond Lan while he was still bonded to Myrelle, which would
be fun. Then, however, we could see Lan befuddled while he tried to
figure out which Aes Sedai's commands to obey, and enjoy the fireworks
between Myrelle and Nynaeve! :-)

Can someone (a warder?) be bonded by two people?
Would the first bonder know of the attempt?

Minor, nitpicking detail Brad, but... Aviendha won't be an AS. She's
going to be a Wise One. And the Wise One's don't have Warders, so your
scenario, interesting as it may be, won't work. Sorry.

Well, Hawk, there is nothing stopping Aviendha from bonding. As Elayne
described it, it is a weaving of the OP, not a privilage for AS only. If
Aviendha wants to bond Rand, there is nothing to stop her. Except Rand, of
course!)

True, true. However, think about Aviendha's personality for a moment.
Does she seem like the type of female that wants a male to protect her?
No. She's already annoyed that she can't dance the spears anymore. It'd
drive her over the edge if she also had a _male_ protecting her. I
doubt she'd do it. Though it would be interesting if it actually happened.
