Just got a heads-up from Al Kooper's website that Blues Project member Andy
Kulberg passed away Wednesday January 30th after a battle with lymphoma. Al
wrote "Flute Thing" for Andy, and stayed in touch with him even after the
band broke up. Al himself just had a benign brain tumor removed November 12,
(and fellow BP member Danny Kalb recently had a heart attack). Al said he
was sad that he couldn't see Andy before he died, but was too busy
recovering from his own health problems....

Andy of course later went on to form the group Sea Train. He also ran a
