A few weeks after subscribing to MSN 8, The above icon installed
itself on my desktop. On opening, there's a mass of text in which I
can make out email addresses of people in my address book. It's a
fairly large file, about 1.2mb, and the black and white icon takes the
form of a page from a notebook with text written thereon. Try as I
might, I have been unsuccessful in my attempts to get rid of the
little blighter. When I delete it, it just reappears next time I log
on. I've tried another computer related forum without success, but one
of it's users suggested trying this group.

Does anyone know how I can get rid of it?

Thanks in advance.

this should take care of it

a. Sign in to MSN.
b. On the Help & Settings menu, click E-Mail Settings.
c. Click E-mail Options.
d. Clear the Enable server logging.
e. Click Save Changes.
f. Right-click MsnMail.txt on the desktop, and then click
Delete
