Ofc XP was installed on fresh install of terminal server
with all patches and service packs applied. I followed
Microsoft's article (Q290375) "Instructions for Office XP
installation on Terminal Server".

This is the only server in small workgroup without active
directory.

Neither of the users on w2k terminal server are able to
use office xp. They get the errors discribed below.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
1st user created before office xp installed.

start Outlook

not registered properly. Please run Setup again.

Yup, experience that problem too. Don't know whats wrong w/ office xp. Never
found a solution too. I installed a cracked patch instead...

harold,
I got this error message as well when i tried to install Offixe XP on
terminal server. but i mange to over come the one which it gives when
the user is trying to access "MS Word"

First, when u install office xp, after u do a costum installaion, it
would give you an option to "activate MS office with frontpage"(if its
that the CD which u use is one with office + Frontpage)

when u click on this option, a wizard pops up which gives u a toll
free no: of Microsoft and a digital key specific to the media that u
use. When u call up microsoft and tell them this digital key they give
you a license key for that media to activate it. You just have to key
in this license key and go ahead with the installation.

This we tried and we no more get the error "This feature is not

available. For more information, contact your system administrator."

Pls try to above method and lets see if it works fine for u too.

akila :)
