Deploy CAB file?

Thanks for using Microsoft News Group!

I suggest you run Gpedit.msc, go to Computer Configuration/Administrative
Templates/Windows Components/Windows Installer. enable the "always install
with elevated privileges" policy?

If the problem remains, can you tell me the detailed steps to deploy the
CAB file?

Hi Mike,

Thank you for your information. I tested
http://www.timevision.com/samples/. I found installing the ActiveX control
OrgPubx involves placing the downloaded files into
"C:\Windows\Downloaded Program Files", "C:\Windows\System32" and then
adding some registry entries in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE subtree. Since a
Limited user has no Full Control access to the registry, the downloading of
ActiveX control fails.

After I made the following changes, I can download General Sample after it
prompts me with a
signed security certificate using a Limited user from
http://www.timevision.com/samples/:

1. Log on as an Administrator account
2. Run Regedit.exe
3. Right-click HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, click Permissions
4. Click on Everyone, click to check Full Control
5. Click Advanced. Click to check the following check boxes

Inherit from parent the permission entries that apply to child objects.
Include these with entries explicitly defined here

Replace permission entries on all child objects with entries shown here
that apply to child objects. Include these with entries explicitly defined
here

6. Click OK.
