Hi,

I just installed WCP on my new Pentium 4 system (Geforce 2 GTS, SB Live,
256MB RAM) running Windows ME, and I'm getting major amounts of skipping in
the movies. Does anoyone know anything about possible fixes?

Thanks,
Chris

Chris, try going into your sound card settings and disabling full duplex and/or
hardware acceleration. This tends to fix the problem in most cases.

Go to DirectX diagnostics (c:\windows\system\dxdiag.exe), select the
"sound" tab, and move the "hardware acceleration" slider all the way
to the left to disable hardware acceleration.

You don't have to reboot when disabling, but if you want to re-enable
acceleration, for games that support it, you do need to reboot. (Hey,
it's Windows... what do you expect, rationality?)
