Someone sent me a file with extension .zi. Not .zip. How do I open this
file.

Be careful about opening this file. I suggest you scan that file with an
_updated_ antivirus software.
I had received numerous files with .zi rather than .zip and after renaming
it to .zip to open with Winzip, NAV 2003 prompts that it contains virus.

If it isn't that important, I suggest emailing to the sender to confirm
whether he had send you the file.

Holy shit ! You were right. I changed the .zi to .zip and extracted
it......and my AVG alerted me immediately.......and so I deleted the virus
called Sobig.exe. Damn those virus creators of havoc.
