Outlook Express 6 errors when exporting messages

When I try... File, Export, Messages...it tells me that
this will export messages to Outlook or Exchange. Click
OK, then I get an error message...The export could not be
performed... An error occurred while initializing MAPI.
I'm running XP and Outlook Express 6.0. Any suggestions?

Yes, unless you're trying to move to Outlook 97/98/2000/2002/2003, export is
NOT what you want:

Without BOTH Outlook and Outlook Express on the machine, the error message
