I made a cock up on my SBS 2003 system and needed to reinstall Sharepoint.
Unfortunately, I also deleted the SBSmonitoring by mistake. I then deleted
sharepoint services etc, reset the system date and went to reinstall
intranet and monitoring from the set up program.

Sharepoint has reistalled fine. However, when I try to run the monitoring
wizard it reports a problem and says to reinstal system tools.

I've done that three times and it keeps falling over.

Checking services shows that the SQL/SBSmonitoring service is not present.

Any ideas?

Graham

ok - bit more info.

I have gone over the reinstallation again. It appears that the SQL service
for SBSmonitoring is not being established. The folder c:\program
files\microsoft SQL server\Mssql$sbsmonitoring IS NOT present!

Any ideas on forcing a reinstall?

You may want to run SBS setup to uninstall Monitoring, then run it again to
install Monitoring.

Many thanks. It worked a treat.

I might actually have some hair left now.
