Unstable animation and text issues

I'm using the Powerpoint version from Office 2000, Windows
desktop. My custom animations for any powerpoint
presentation is very unstable, sometimes the animation
works smoothly but sometimes animated text/graphics simply
appears all at once (e.g., after applying a dissolve
animation).

Also, text, at times, appear fuzzy.
Is there a Powerpoint patch available that resolves these
issues?

For the first problem, what is different? What other programs are running
and how many optional processes do you have active? Are you running
anti-virus software that's actively scanning? Have you recently (very
recently) deleted your Temp files, scanned your disk, and done a defrag?
How much memory do you have? Have you recently updated your video driver?
