So...if you are checking out this NG, please try it out there. And
whatever you do...please do NOT pay any attention to what CaliforniaJam

Another assinine post from the geek who can't even fix his own 8-track
player....

My respect for your wife as a first class person, and honest business
person, is being overcome by your idiocy, Dan. It has tempered my
response to you in the past- that may soon end- when I list the Track
Shack on our Better Business Bureau complaint forum, on our site. We
pay for the site, so once it's up, it stays up. We delete and ban any
posts/members we find undesireable, so there will be NOTHING you can
do about it. I'll be sure to list all your immature posts from this
site as well. Something for you to think about perhaps...and we'll see
how many carts you sell then...

Still think TR-803's are the best Dan ?? You don't even know your
wrench sizes, so anything you post, means literally, NOTHING !!

ALL: Dan Gibson of the Track Shack is a little peeved, because he
sells 8-track pads, and I've posted that you can make your own for
free from bulk foam. He also pushes "original" sensing foil, which is
quite expensive for a small roll. I mentioned Walmart Foil works good
too, and is much cheaper. Seems he has a problem with that. So his
responses should be judged in that light...self serving. I've
purchased many tapes from him already, and this is how he treats his
paying customers.

Fine example of your business practices Dan Gibson, of the Track
Shack. To anyone thinking about buying tapes from Dan Gibson, you to
can be treated in this way, after he takes your money...

ghost town ?? I count 9 new threads here in the last week.

How many threads in the last week on that tumbleweed board you hang
out on now ?? Someday you'll realize, the entire 8-track world
doesn't revolve around you.

p.s.- clean your ears, and buy an Akai already. HA ! (TR-803-
chuckle......that's too funny, what a chumpy deck that is....)

First, he sends in the chain-eating bikers. Boy, if they don't eat you
up, the Better Business Bureau sure as fuck will!

But, if you continue to mess with Charlie "Super Hetero" Nudo, that is
when your shit goes straight south, m'boy. Because then, he will NOT
hesitate to call on Kim Jong Il and the Jamaican Dope Posse
Consortium, and once they find out how much respect you have for the
Realistic TR-803, oh shit, grab onto your britches, because it is time
for you to play the role of Ned Beatty.

I count 21 threads with 59 posts. This with a membership of 55 I
believe. I agree that you have a right to repair your tapes any way
you want and to recommend your way to others. The rest of us have the
right to spend less than a penny a splice for sensing foil and 30 to
40 cents on foam pads that are direct replacements rather than
spending our time fabricating something that will work. I replace the
splice on every tape I get, and the foam on all that have homemade
pads or old defective pads so how someone has repaired them before me
doesn't matter in those areas. I just hope you don't use or recommend
anything but splicing tape for repairing broken tapes. Those scotch
tape repair jobs can mess up a lot of tape.

I have found Dan to be extremely well respected in the 8 track
community and very tolerant with differing opinions until someone
becomes belligerent.

OK, you're done now, go back to the tumbleweed board and the circle

bgas, I'd like to put an order in for 6 carts, taped over as you see
fit, preferably with gooey rollers, for $2 each.

To all who read this thread, BGASWOODIE sells carts that are taped

each. When called on the carpet for it, he sends prank emails to you.
AVOID BGASWOODIE. (aka Chris the Wimp)

Yes indeedy! I love these kind of posts, as it makes it so much easier
to get undesirables booted off the net.

Also, just for the record, Charlie (trippin) yanked us around on several
orders, and then cancelled out after wasting our time. This occurred
after Kathy had set the tapes aside for some time at no cost to him.

Shame on you Charlie. We thought you were a decent fellow. We were
wrong. Just remember....you are looking to Scott for support. You have
sunk as low as a person can go.

Kathy,

That sounds better !! When you said both the other Nugent tapes were
sold,
along with the Stones, then I took out JS Spitfire, it only left 4
tapes. I
started thinking, wait a minute, what happened to my buck a tape and 50
cent
fixer upper deal ? lol...but thanks. I appreciate getting the Nugent
Gonzo.
I had it and someone stold it from me back in the mid 1980's, when
8-tracks
were still slightly desireable to the general masses. 5 tapes for $6.50,
that ain't bad at all-sounds good to me.

No problem with the handling charge. I usually round it up to the next
dollar myself when I sell doubles and dead wood on the net- i.e. if it
costs me $1.28 or $1.42 to ship a tape or tapes, I charge $2. That's
reasonable IMO. By comparison, there's a lady on ebay charging $2-3 PER
TAPE
for shipping/handling !! Even for multiple purchases !! In other words,
if
you buy 3 tapes from her, she charges $3 for the first one, then $2 each
for
the next 2, shipping and handling. YIKES ! $7 SHIPPING on 3 tapes, when
in
reality it costs less than $2 to ship all 3 (I know, I ship out dead
wood
all the time) When I called her on it, she got downright NASTY. That
kinda
takes the fun outta 8-tracking for me !! And it comes across as being
hoggy
on her part, too... lol

Sorry for the history lesson, thanks again, I look forward to receiving
tapes and fixing them...

Charlie

Look at you, man! You're fucking conversing with Scott Lifshine! Don't
you feel even a little bit pathetic?

I get the impression that you post this bullshit of yours only after
you've had a few drinks. You care to confirm that? How many Coors
Lights had you downed when you got the courage to email me that
picture of a fatass slob biker you swiped off the Internet? "That's me
on the left." Jesus H. Christ, I almost pissed myself.

By the way, I have a buddy in your area who is supremely impressed by
the way you clean out the shelves at the Salvation Army on Sans Souci
Parkway. Grabbing up every last shitty cart in sight. Boy, you are one
badass 8 tracker. You really give all of the rest of us a run for our
money.

If you dig way, way, way down deep in the backlog, you'll find that I
used to praise Akais all over the place, with superlatives left and
right, until somebody in their right mind got fed up and told me to
shove my Akai up my ass. Maybe once you've been back at this tracking
game for more than seven or eight months--yes, I still recall your
post, declaring how psyched you were now that you'd dragged your old
deck out of the closet--maybe here in a few more months, it will dawn
on you that Akais aren't the end-all, be-all of 8 track decks and that
sadly, the perfect 8 track deck just doesn't exist.

Now you can go back to your Coors Light and your dumpy fucking wife
and your stacks of Reader's Digest tapes and head cleaners, shithead.
