I just put together a P4T533-C system with a 2.8 533 CPU. On posting
there was a message concerning a problem being picked up by Hardware
Monitor in the bios. When I looked in Hardware Monitor I saw that
VCore Voltage was fluctuating between 1.69 and 1.73. As soon as it
hit 1.72 it turned red and I guess that's the problem detected on
posting. When I look at the VCore settings they are set at 1.525V. I
then tried to manually set VCore at 1.525V. Hardware Monitor still
showed the same VCore...1.72. I thought that for the 2.8 VCore that
high was a bit touchy. I'm running bios ver 1007c. Got 512MB of
Kingston 1066 ram. XP Professional is the OS..altho that prolly
doesn't matter. No OC'ing is involved..yet. Also temps for this chip
seem a bit high..MB 37 C..CPU 51C..at idle...I'm using the stock
cooler. Other than the foregoing the board works fine.

Have you checked whether the Overvolt jumper is enabled? Make sure it is set
to OFF, otherwise it'll add more juice to the P4, check the manual for the
position of the jumper (it's close to the CPU I think.)
