I have a National NCX-5 MK II XCVR c/w AC Power Supply & Crystal Calibrator
c/w Manuals that I would like to sell...BUT have a nagging problem, I hope
someone has had and/or solved in the past.
Would like to sell it in working condx...as that would be the right thing to
do!

The Radio works A-OK generally, but when you tune in a station calling CQ
etc, and you key the rig to talk to him/her, on SSB or CW, I find that the
Transceiver transmits 0.5 Khz OFF Freq from the Received signal.
Of course the other station tunes off his freq onto yours...you tune to hear
him better..and "ring around the rosy" we go.
I've retuned the radio a couple of times, and am now seriously looking at
components in the VFO or the Receive RIT Circuit.

If you have any this situation, any comments to either confirm my thoughts
or point me in a better direction would be welcomed.
Thank You for your time

I had one of these when they were brand new (just a few years ago :) I do
seem to recall that there is a pot to bring the rec and transmit into
alignment but I don't recall what it is. Perhaps some one else will know
the specifics.
