I use OL2002 at home and OL2000 at work. When i send a
meeting notice from the OL2002 calendar to my OL2000
calendar, OL2000 does not show the message as an meeting
notice. It shows as a text message:

There is a bug in the way Outlook 2000 parses the Reminder, see if
unchecking the Reminder option when sending from Outlook 2002 to Outlook
2000 works for you.

I was having the same problem. I tried your suggestion
for unchecking the reminder, and it worked. Thank you.

A colleague of mine at work had a slightly different
suggestion for fixing this problem. I tested it, and it
seemed to work for me:

In Tools -- Options -- Calendar Options, in the Advanced
Options section, uncheck the option for using the
iCalendar format.
